actually that pit stop light thing ferrari has is not a new invention. there has been plans to use it, and will be used (i think) in the singaporean grand prix. ferrari did come up with some innovative things that you can boast about, but i guess this is not one of them.

why are they using it in that race? trying it out maybe? or maybe the press coverage?(look everyone talks about it here, good publicity)

I kept cursing each time ASTRO aired it.
We're watching the crappy ad...Steve Slater and his co-commentator was watching all the action.
What the #%&*

If only I had a lap top.
Surely I'll watch the race on streaming.

I miss those days when 8TV was airing all the races.
Shame on you RTM.

gee jejes ....wtf are you 2 talking about ? if a tyre fails OF COURSE BLAME THE TYRE MANUFACTURER, unless it is caused by debris or wheel failure. When tyre manufacturer gave an advice, OF COURSE it has to be seriously considered, coz THEY MAKE THE TYRES. simple as that. man this kind of common sense is so hard to understand ?
before 2007, most of the time bridgestone focus on ferrair, michelin have more teams to deal with. about the bridgestone-ferrari love relationship, well who knows they still continue it nowadays. but it's difficult to ignore that fact that it didnt
geeeeeee.. I guess bad English confuse u la, Of cause I know if tyre fails should BLAME TYRE MANUFACTURER. that apply to case like US GP very one got problem. In this case, no one have this problem, even Hekki (remember he actually on 2 stop (1 more stop because of type punctured on lap 1). So, is more to the way he drive. Some point look at this case is also tyre fails, is this common sense TYRE MANUFACTURER should spent money & times just to make the tyre to suite Lewis driving style? Guess what others driver will said. vmad.gif

Yes, is normal common sense people will think Bridgestone relationship continues because of their previous long term partner. Just no one can prove it. But what I think, they in the business world, they are on contract basis. If all together others team can give more business benefit then Ferrari, why they want to make 1 friend and make 9 enemies? Remember in the real business world, Mercedes, Toyota, Honda, BMW are covering large market. If they anti Bridgestone! guess there CEO will not that stupid. Don't tell me you think Bridgestone join F1 because they purely love F1. All about Business & $$$. Same thing here AMD have long term relationship, now they don't like it, just discontinue the contract. Done.

Ok, enough for the tyre war la. nod.gif We all have different opinion. thumbup.gif

Sometimes I do really get fed up by Astro as we paid the service to them and yet they still air some advertisement for us while it is named PAID service. They get paid from us and why on earth we need advertisements... Greedy Astro.

AHHAHAHaHAHhAHA THIS IS PATHETIC ! it's not about making tyres to suit drivers driving style !!! it's about improving/making more reliable tyres that could last longer over the course of a GP, take high loads over corners, while still maintaining high levels of grip. They do it everytime, it's their responsibility, coz in different conditions, like different combinations of car settings, track temperature, there is a possibility that the same problem might occur to other drivers.

you talk about business, how does this sound to you "F1 driver named XXX dead in a crash due to bridgestone tyre failure" at every frontpage of the newspapers from around the world. PR stunt ? laugh.gif

since your judgment is so clouded, i rest my case.

tyre manufacturer not really aim to make the tyre more "reliable"... they just have to make it reliable enough for part of the race... and Max the performance but within FIA rules...

the really reliable tyre can see 2 years back.. where tyre are not allow to change that time.. ..

yap.. Same with engine. No team will make a reliable engine last for 1 year race, since they allowed to change every 2 race.

mclaren already up their ante. just look at the istanbul race; they are on 3 stop strategy, yet hammy managed 2nd place.
imagine the damaged he can inflict if they are on 2 stop strategy??
his car's rubber is fine after all.

the pole for monaco street race will be hotly contested.
