If you can afford it, why not? You'll want to upgrade to ms2 eventually if getting ms1

Thinking to get myself a SR60i, but is it really worth the money, since this brand is expensive outside U.S.? I even saw comments on KSC75 performance is near SR60. Or should I go for SR80i or MS1i instead?

Dear Seniors,
Need some advice... I listen to all types of music, from Jazz to Hard Rock. Should I get the SR60, SR80 or the MS1? Btw, what's the difference with those models with the "i" behind? Thanks. |

Thanks. personally prefer sr60i / MS1 / MS1i coz more neutral.. sr80 better if u listen a lot of rock... i currently using MS1, great... most important is u like the grado/alessandro sound signature.. |

QUOTE(liat-liat @ Nov 1 2009, 02:17 PM) i can help you to make a custom air chamber from aluminum.. but.. wood.. i think you better find a good carpenter to do it.. grado's sound signature is a tad bit bright.. even to my ears.. not sure what will help to reduce the brightness.. other than that.. i love my sr60i with canare f-12 plug, grill mod n put some tack it inside the air chamber to reduce the vibration This post has been edited by huh?: Nov 10 2009, 10:03 PM |

It might help to reduce the brightness to a more acceptable level |

It might help to reduce the brightness to a more acceptable level amp is not on my top list right now... the only way right now is to use the eq to compensate it.. but than i will lose the details.. anyway.. most of the people that i know love the grado for it's brightness (same goes to me) never regretted my grado puchase though i would love to compare higher end grados to mine.. wanna know what im missing out.. hehehe This post has been edited by huh?: Nov 11 2009, 02:34 AM |
