It's totally COOL

Grado is very crudely built, dont think u will have any problems with them falling apart.

The only thing im worried about is part quality and unbalanced voice coil, one side sound better than the other.

My SR60 is currently in bits, total overhaul and i noticed grados are very crudely put together and each are

different

Plastic mold for voice coil ( sharp left over fron the molding process ) and air chamber are different, even if they

come from the same pair of headphone

I read from many forums on the quality of RS2, different font on the chamber, different color tone.

Unique they say.

Even the hot glue they use are different, some are clear ( general duty ) and yellowish ( heavy duty )

Its very obvious, but the sound is good.

Well its not sth Grado and other users have not notice

No use complaining....like Grado is going to RMA ( Read My Article )

driver dead on arrival.

Yeah...that can be true to...electronic stuff.

My recent experience with electronic, died after 2 days of use, good thing its under warranty.

If not RM100+ for sure.

I think it was already faulty from factory. Headphone can take quite a beating and still produce sound.

soak in water still can make sound..this is a more than transport.

it's confirm faulty from factory.
as the unit box still brand new. not even a dent. the headphone not even a scratch. look exactly brand new. how to damage ?

What metalmania means is the headphones is faulty and produce NO sound, that's why it's also called ultrasound where the human can't hear.

Btw...SR80 here...no complaint. Couple it up with my receiver...sounds awesome but my receiver lacks bass...so time to save for a new one. My Harman Kardon AVR35 is 8 y.o now....lol

Boleh tahan..been quite a while since i tried closed type.

So far so good, there is only 1 problem Grado headphone reported.

I have decided to continue with my original plan to buy the SR80 at Taiwan, of course my friend will help to test before buy lah.

..always stick to the original plan they say...good.

Thanks guys for the info. BTW I'm thinking of getting an external DAC for my setup paired to my SR60 (Audigy Ls user, paiseh). Musical preference is in classic rock and jazz music. Any recommendation of DAC?
