one is grado reference series 1 and the other is alessandro ms-1 made by grado.

He is one big grado fans. RS1 well worth the money and upgrades just that it depends on what kind of quality of sound you willing to pay for. smile.gif One big leap from MS1 to RS1 thumbup.gif

Of course I'd like to own say a RSA RAPTOR II or a Rudistor RPX-33 and I am sure they sound better than the DV332 but they are in a different league, carrying price tags that are very account damaging. I still feel the DV332 is the best compromise and has the most bang for the buck. It's like the Grado line - after the SR225 or SR325i, the differences are probably minimal but what you pay to buy those small differences is HUGE.

By the way, I own a modified Musical Fidelity X-Can V2 also (it has a very nice pair of Mullards E88CC in it too) and the stock DV332 trumps it hard out of the box. That tells you so much about the DV332's potential biggrin.gif

Xcan is not a good pair with grados as it pushes the area what grado is strong at, which is bad. Too much is always bad... smile.gif

hi guys, im really a newbie when it comes to headphones or earphones. Juz wanna ask if there are any grado sr125 users out there?
can give comments on the headphones? any difference when compared to sr80 ?
does it need an amp?
any good amplifiers that are good and cheap which is compatible with pc use?
im really juz starting to get into headphones and my usage is basically in my room listening to pop, r&b, some alt rock, cpop and jpop which are mostly blues and classical music.
thx in advance...

If you want to go up to Grado ladder, here is the advise. Start with SR60 first, then if you got some budget, try get the SR225. If you are happy with the sound, directly go up to RS1.

im not sure as i havent any one of them.. you can google for reviews.. mostly at headfi.. from my readings.. sr225i will be better the other two.. but also the price..huhuhu..

unfortunately for us there isnt any shop in malaysia as far as i know that stocks headphones n let us audiotion it...

if you are a freq traveler to singapore, you can try jaben..

I would rate MS1i on par or better than SR125, a lot of mods has been done by our fellow lowyatrians and it all sounded good.

And MS1, you can audition from us. Sometimes we also sell Grados.
Music by design in city square you can get Grados.
