anyone getting APOLLO? dividend stock.

0.10% DY, even higher than PBBANK biggrin.gif

current price 2.62, back to its lowest on 10-Mar 08, can consider eh!
*
Yup, Apollo is mainly for getting dividend only, don't expect too much on the share price appreciation side. It is another boring counter. Previously has an eye on it, but due to liquidity issue, didn't take it.
Instead now thinking of buying back Carlsberg which sold years ago, still cum dividend of 30 cents at current price.

kinwawa, hold on with APOLLO!

yeah, i am actually waiting for market re-open,
wanna see how is the buy / sell queue
surprisingly, like what cherroy said, low liquidity sweat.gif

later wan to sell oso no buyer, kenot kenot
*
Selling buying with less than 100 lots (x100), no problem. Just you want to do it in rush one, you need to jump a few tick to take the buyer or seller straigh away. It is something like old man stock, queue for few days only get it done. biggrin.gif
So if treat it as FD, then still ok lah as no one want to 'goreng' it either nor fund managers can buy it, even it is fundamental good. This kind of share price is depended individual like you and me interested it to buy and sell which already move the price. Anyone can buy several hundred lots (x 100)(this is no big deal by market standard) then already can 'push' up the price a few cents to ten cents already. biggrin.gif

Just my opinion.

End of April to be precise. Last time I sold time was 5.20. icon_rolleyes.gif

KLCI turning red? rclxms.gif
This is why KLSE always need foreign fund otherwise, it is like dead water. Currently most FF still shy away from this market.

Up little bit nia. smile.gif

Actually recent market is very hard to predict, especially in US one. One day with a good sleep and start of new quarter, everyone wake up with bullish mood, then send DJ up 391 points. Then another day with bad dream over night, become bearish and talk about recession and writedown then plunge 200 points. Just make more people 'pening' only.

I don't find some consistent talk from analysts either. On good day, every stock is a good buy, in a bad day, just talk of more shoe to drop on the banking sector.

hi jongkolkhoo,

Alright thanks for the advice. I will ask her to keep first. Why you want to sell genting to buy resort ? genting gives you a good dividen. if i'm not wrong.
When would you sell? just pm me.    3.28 also wanna keep.
By the way,the volume for 4715  "74,825"  .  It's high enough to push even further.
Thank You.  biggrin.gif
p/s: Just a fren only... a fren who is a female? that's why i called galfren ? sorry for the misunderstanding in the first place.  biggrin.gif
*
Both are 'kedukut' one. Haha. biggrin.gif

Genting & Resorts are not famous because of their dividend, although they are good company for long term.

For Resort the 7 millions volume traded are not considered high for those big cap and high liquidity stock, a norm in any market day. Volume high doesn't mean it is always good, it can be ended up with flat only.

You only taking care of one 'fren' only? tongue.gif
Nvm, just joking.

When most foreign funds are shy away this market, the market will somehow detach itself from the global scenario. Local issue become more important.

Last year when there are plenty active of FF in the market (KLCI shoot up from 1,000-1,400), KLSE tends to move closely with overseas market. But since after that, KLSE somehow moves on its own way.

is it a good practice to sell genting now and buy back later..(assuming that market anticipating a drop )
what price difference is required to make the sales -buyback  worthwhile?
thanks kinwawa. I am learning and paying tution fees. ( expensive too!!)
*
If you can predict accurately market will drop or Genting would drop to 6.00, then it is a wise move. But the problem is nobody knows until later of the time. Judge you own. Not meant to recommend anything.

Want to sell? Sell it to me then, haha, just joking. tongue.gif

QUOTE(jongkolkhoo @ Apr 3 2008, 10:55 AM)
not because of the price. (8.058) but because resort is dropping. so move from genting to resort. still have 20 lot of resort at 3.55. so i increase stake in resort to double or more.
u think this is a good move? icon_rolleyes.gif
*
kinwawa advice is good.

If doing the switching, the most happy man would be your remiser and investment house.

Resort and Genting are 'abang adik', most of the time go up and down together one. So unless one break out from the range bound trade, it is high chance won't make anything from it from switching.
It is not the same as changing 'goreng' stock or others stock to one fundamental strong and stable one.

So if you predict market will crash further or need the cash, then sell. But purely on switching stock alike (like Resort and Genting) most probably won't have singificant impact.

I might be wrong. Just my 2 cents.

Decided against queueing AmFirst @ RM0.80 and MahSing @ RM1.30 after seeing the red tide increasing.   Hopefully my decision is right.

Try so hard to Q Amfirst at 0.80? biggrin.gif

Amfirst is going to give around 3.6 cents for the semi-annual distriubtion in next month. Don't think people would dump it at 0.80. You need market crash to get it at that price. Oppss touch wood. laugh.gif

Lol so many Q in the Carlsberg at 4.00. I also join it. tongue.gif

Want to check with you guys...

What will happen if the warrant has expiry?

I buy 2 lots of Bonia Warrant (Bonia-Wa) and it is going to expire on around middle of May 2008.

My remiser told me to add another RM 1K each to exchange Bonia share. Is that true?

I just purchase 4 lots of Liondiv last friday(1.24), should I buy another 4 lots to average the price. Price now is 1.18.

Thanks for your response... notworthy.gif
*
If you don't convert the warrant, basically it is down to the drain or become rubbish. biggrin.gif

For 1 lot of Bonia-WA, you need to add RM0.50 to convert to the mothershare. So you have 2 lots (I assume x 1000), need to fork out RM1k to convert to 2000 shares to Bonia.

You should check or knew it prior before you bought the -WA. Not after.

as for LIONDIV, if you were to ask me, i'd say not in a rush to average.
i have LIONDIV at 1.71, not even bother to average it, either tongue.gif

LIONDIV past quater result is below expectation, i didnt do my homework before buying it, so, meantime, just keeping only. i still see potential in it.
*
One of the reason why LionDiv won't have good result because it giving out the Parkson shares to the shareholders already, so it doesn't own much in Parkson. If not mistaken, correct me if I am wrong as not follow it, just roughly read through when it giving out the Parkson shares time.
So Parkson profit is not channeling to LionDiv like the past.

Btw Genting 6.25 already. brows.gif

but how come the remiser told me, that need to add RM1 to convert to mothershare....mayb the remiser overlook?

you mean i can convert anytime just before it expired?

Thanks notworthy.gif
*
For warrant, you can convert it at any times even way before its expiration date. Remiser is right as you have 2 lots, so 2 x 0.50 = 1.00. 1K for 2000 warrant.

still very happy because i chosen KULIM yesterday, nice buy!

You also shop mah. whistling.gif

Btw, tomorrow US will release the job employment data which could lead to DJ move hundreds of point one (up or down depend on the data).
But it has nothing to do with KLSE currently as locally front 'in fire' already, no time to bother overseas market.

question...
y the grid line of a particular stocks movement is fixed??

eg: resorts: each movement is 0.02 different
bjtoto: 0.05 dfferent
maybulk 0.02

u guys get wat i wan to ask??
*
I know what you mean. This is the standard applied by KLSE.

0-1.00, every tick is 0.005
1.00 - 3.00, per tick 0.01
3.00-5.00, per tick is 0.02
5.00-10.00, per tick is 0.05
10.00-25.00, per tick is 0.10.
25.00-100, per tick is 0.25.

In US, you can trade every single cents even it is a 100.00 stock. This varies across bourses.
