Bro,

there are 3 downloads. The first to install at the PC and the third at my i780?

Obviously, HA1 is the first firmware for i780. You better upgrade to the latest IB1 at http://www.samsungmobile.com/support/i780/index.jsp

And make sure you backup all your data. The upgrade process should work flawlessly for Windows XP. But Vista or 7, you may face difficulties....

All running from PC. Before running the third installer, ensure i780 is sync to your PC. The green circle icon on the tray should stop spinning. On i780 the status of ActiveSync is synchronised. Then only can run the third installer. You have to ensure i780's battery is fully charged.

well it depends on ur usage actually.. when i use wifi/gps or talk on phone for a long time.. it tends to get hot... i think its normal since it doesn't cause it to crash or anything.. biggrin.gif

at first i kinda dislike the ascending ringtone.. wat i do is i edit my ringtone n make the beginning (around 3 sec) louder.. but i change ringtone quite frequently so lazy to edit everytime.. might as well as get used to it... biggrin.gif

just add any audio file to your i780.

i added ambulance siren audio. use file explorer, click and hold until an options pop-up --> at the bottom, u can see "Set as rigtone".
i use the siren as my alarm.

same method; i add nokia tone for sms and some mp3's as ringtone. tongue.gif

i see... but then that one only punch out 950mAh juice while our standard one pumps out 1480mAh of juice leh... kenot tahan lar hahaha...
actually i was looking for an extended battery for i780 with the same size of the current one... i know that Mugen got this enormous 3000mAh juice powerplant but then it comes in the form of gigantic size and additional plastic cover... it's a bit horid... hahaha... anyway thanks dude...

as i'm now scouting for a new battery, i visited the Malaysia Samsung i780 site and the battery capacity is shown as 1140mAh and not 1480mAh as stated in the Samsung global i780 site rclxub.gif i wrote to Samsung MY for inquiry and to my surprise, they replied to me and confirmed it's 1140mAh??!!.. hmm.gif

anyone knows how to check the capacity of the battery coz i can't find it printed on the battery itself...

i saw tis quite sometime ago n it sure does makes ur phone looks much fatter.. laugh.gif \

n fyi i jz asked a forumer selling the momax battery for i780 for jz rm40 include postage, and the oem battery for rm25.. here's his thread..

for a price of 40 i think its quite okay to test it.. i dun know tis forumer or anything im jz suggesting so if anything goes wrong dun blame me ya.. whistling.gif

mayb the capacity varies from countries? quite odd though.. y dun make it standard? hmm.gif

yup, that's the horid looking Mugen Battery... but then when time comes and i kenot find any other extended battery, i may opt for that...

the momax battery capacity too small liao... the current one already draining too quick liao if i change to that momax, guess few hours gone hahaha...

i know that the Epix has got 1800mAh capacity, i wonder if it can be retrofitted into i780 hahaha since they are closely related... i know that both is outputing 3.7V.. but the physical dimension, i'm not sure if it's the same though...
