I'd like to think their tower went out of commission again for a bit, and it's just s-l-o-w-l-y getting back up on its feet. I was randomly disconnected half an hour ago and just got back my connection, but certain websites are slow to load.

Hey guys. I would like to ask a noob question. I usually get the following IPs in my area :

60.49.*.*

60.50.*.*

118.50.*.*

Before the undersea cable incident I'm getting good connection from both IPs that start with 60 but recently 60.50.*.* is starting to get slow. It's quite noticable when loading streaming videos (youtube) where 60.49.*.* will continuously load while 60.50.*.* will play 5 sec stop...load for a few sec...then play again...(repeat). Does this mean there are still routing problem for the the IP segment that starts with 60.50.*.* ? I have also notice international sites load considerably faster when going through proxy servers (www.sureproxy.com) but very slow when I access it directly. (e.g. www.tfw2005.com). Hope someone here can help clarify this.

Thanks.

I'm at the office, but I can confirm that for home users speed is back to shit. I'm getting 930ms ping to UK and US, even to Philippines it's more than 400ms.

What happen to the fckup Streamyx actually?
At my house, I can't connect to internet at all from 10am~11pm+
Sometimes it's connected for few seconds before it dc again.
Normally after 11.30pm or early 6am, I can use it smoothly.

this is not rly a rant.. maybe just half of it, im just rly thankful i got my internet back =)

anyway, last tuesday my internet and phone line went out, so i called TM up that night to report. Then no news on wednesday, but luckily got a call on thursday saying theyve fixed it (it was a problem in my area). Then i came back home to find my internet is up again (yay!!)

then they called up on friday (even on labour day?) to ask how the connection was and to close the report. i told them everything was ok.. was just thankful i got my internet back =P

anyway... cos this is the RANT thread... ITS STILL SO SLOW!! but just good enough to get email, facebook etc =)

I've b een having so many disconnects lately. Dunno why. I call and wait for a while and nobody picks up too. =\

Using it in TTDI.

And of course, when I'm not disconnected it's super slow, but I'm used to this at least.
