even though ur cpu temp reading is not right, i still think that for idle ur core temp is quite high...

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « @johndoe actually u can take a look at the chart... even before i lap and with stock TIM, the temp is only around 42c-44c (core temp).... and 18c when u open case is really impressive... its either ur reading is really faulty or ur room is super cold... thats all i can think for now though... btw what thermal solution are u using?? actually... maybe u can try to remount ur RS.... n cheack if the contact pressure is good enuf or the TIM spreading is covering all the HDT onot lo.. vincent got lots of tips on TIM application

mm.. just installed my cooler at my board asus p5kc the temp not much different than previous ggbyte ds3 so sad i lost my screw bracket..
