laptop hard to OC it...tempreture is crucial thing....laptop cooler not like desktop alot fans...laptop GC cooler only using heatpipe

wads the latest/most stable driver for 8600gt on my m1530
so very confusing.. last time i installed one bsod appeared when i tried to run crysis then had to roll back driver

halo guyz....may i noe which version driver can optimize my nvidia 8400M GS?i just hope can play oblivion smoothly in medium setting..currently i'm using the driver on my cd..my comp is t5250,2gb ram.. thx all

guys, need help here!!i just updated my 8400gs driver on my lappie..and when i plays fifa08..it lags..even before i update my driver it lags too..is it the heat problem?

im using win xp and i set my fifa's graphic settings to the minimum!!and it still lags!!!!!

hey guys.....i hv a questions, i'm using geforce GO 7150M, when i use GPU-Z, it shows that it's memory size is 128MB while i check the adapter tab at the display properties there, it shows 512MB, so which one is the real one?? it shows 512MB is it becoz the turbo cache?

the pros is u can play de high end game in smoothly de cons is heat n decrease ur gc life span....
i tried it b4 by using rivatuner...it helps a lot but heat oso increase much...
better forget it if using laptop...but desktop is other story....

may i know wat current version u use it?

wat version u use? ur is laptop or desktop...if lappy, in my opinion i not recommend to go for version 17x.xx cos is not optimized at all
u can tried use 169.xx or 167.xx...those driver r optimized....i tried b4 using 169.25 is performance driver but heat oso increase.....play crysis will approximately 25fraps if not mistaken....

yea may b is turbocache....

yea prostreet setting is high resolution...texture set to trilinear....
wok is setting to high end also....

hmm... then how can we know how much is the max we can OC the core clock? if i put 1 table fan, beside the cpu(my cpu is always half open), this can help reduce the temperature rite? mine is 46 celcius idle.

I agree with subrok007. My Vostro 1400 specs is as in my signature.

NFS Pro Street -> Highest setting (playable; video stuttering but not so frequent during high polygon count)
Crysis -> Medium setting (playable; video stuttering but not so frequent during high polygon count; movie sequence lags but tolerable)

Dell stock Nvidia driver from Dell support site: Nvidia Forceware 156.83
Temperature sensor during Crysis: 60~70ºC (Not a problem yet)

Yes, I am playing Crysis right now. I am at "Recovery" chapter stage. Cool! I feel like a soldier in a real environment, although virtually.

wao! seems like this graphic card is not bad...but the heat problem serious?? last time my laptop is using ATI X1600 cant even play doom 3 with nice graphic (the character's hand looks like penguin hand)...

btw, i notice than laptop will automatic shut down due to the heat after use it to play game for more than half year..dunno u guys notice or not...

u can try 169.xx or 167.xx is very gud driver...
167 is for lappy optimized
169 is for desktop...
currently i using 169...
