i have tried the Bioses in Ip35e, but to say which is the greatest, its really quite tough la, personally for me, its Bios 10 and Bios 11. Normally the best bioses come through the revisions, i find the current one pretty good as well smile.gif

a1098113 will swear its bios 10. I've tried 12,15 and 18 and found 18 to be best
*
agreed on the current Bios, though i have not tested on the overclocking yet

not much difference, well my previous oc attempt benched at 17.2seconds, now managed to shave it by .2 seconds. A little tweak on the memset should get me to sub 16s. Vcore is high due to the proc itself. I ran this on IFX Passive, without any fans.

well,
if will only work well when theres good airflow in the case, thats really essential. If there is not, then there will be heat retention issue, which i dread laugh.gif Anyways loads are around 50+

just did another ss of SP1M, i did today on bios 18.. there might be a bug when u do push high voltages on the Vdimm, but was cautious not too push too much.

a1098113 , Wah ur voltage how much u set in bios ?? interested to see that figure.......

in bios i set to 1.62V... thats the limit for air cooling for me.. anything more its unfair for a passive cooler la bro smile.gif

erm.. a new e2180 user here... i hav oc my proc to 3.3ghz.. voltage in bios is 1.3375v. my cooler is xigmatek hdt-sd964 wif the crossbow kit installed..
ok.. here's my question.. the max load temp is 56'c for both cores under full load when running orthos.. i use core temp to monitor my temps.. but izit possible the temp to be so low.. n which is better?? real temp or core temp?? maybe i hav being influence by the high temps of my previous pentium D..
*
dont worry about it smile.gif 65nm processors have lower temps.. in fact if your cooler is better, u will have your load temps around 50. Core temp 0.96 is accurate or u can download HWMonitor from CPUID, its pretty accurate.

my max load temp was 74C sad.gif. while idle can be as low as 36C smile.gif. 2160 user here. OC to 3.2Ghz @ 1.34V.
*
work on your cooler then smile.gif 74 is not bad, get 65 at most smile.gif
