I think China's Knightmare featured in the OP use similar face like the GN-X (cross-shaped eye visor) well at the end of the day its sunrise, so the designers they hire are free to rip off each other XD(as been mentioned couple of times) to be honest though, after so many years of mecha, its not easy to come up with fresh mechs and looking good/cool at the same time. when geass came out, it was fresh and new alright, cept they are fugly as hell lmao. double 00's gundams were rather fresh, and new in a sense, cept a lot of people complain it being too "simple".
