There is only so many ways you can design a mecha. Geometrical shapes are limited to the basic primary shapes (square, circle, rectangle, triangle, etc)

Unless you consider a flying disc shaped saucer as a mecha.

People didnt run out of ideas, they ran out of the possible combinations of shapes. Blame our world for being three dimensional.

souko no strain left a wierd taste, but the action's good hehe.

i wonder if one would classify that as "real mecha" or "super mecha"

but meh i dont mind geass ripping off mechas or what not, but just pick up a design a bit, the initial releases were just fugly... and the later releases are just lol-wings >.>
the only really decent mecha thus far is the lancelot, maybe guren :/

well, so much for that happening, they sped past v2 in half an episode. where is the tension? where is the struggle? its like watching GSD battles. for a supposed behind the scene evil, v2 sure got b*tchslapped quickly....

plus points though for shirley, lulu, rollo, suzaku and kallen drama. here's hoping for another suzaku/lulu showdown as per R1 ending. make them kill each other as the world's ending. teh epic, lulz

Recently i watch a old movie from ppstream which inside the movie plot there was some part quite similar to R2.

i am not sure izzit the creator of R, R2 borrow the ideal from that movie.
