um is good as i can clock abt 1.3Mbps normally
but
once i tasted Maxis @ 2.5Mbps......... drool.gif  drool.gif ........ doh.gif

i tends to go for it, but then again, not many places here hav maxis 3G enabled cause i live in a "ghost town"
*
True that which is why most promoters would say that in terms of coverage, Celcom Broadband leads but their performance is very unpredictable. wink.gif

its no point to hav the BEST,WIDEST coverage BUT most of the time the connection suks

if like tat i would rather digi's Edge albeit cheaper at rm30/mth for Dcampus sim or Fuyoh sim

atleast i can do my mobile banking without any glitch....try doing MB2U using celcom, it drives you SIAL doh.gif  doh.gif

Yes I have experiences like this as well when a transfer via Maybank2U was needed quite urgent and I can't seem to be able to login to Maybank2U. It seems that the connection timeout quite often but it does seem better now. smile.gif

Most USB stick modems usually comes with a USB extension cable to it will still look like any other modems. However, if you are still not too keen on those then just get back ZTE MF622, I believe that this is one of the rock stable modem in the market. biggrin.gif

You may try some other ZTE modems as well say the newer models, I have pretty good experience with ZTE modems while I do have at least one problem with other modems from other brands.

mayb going to try on ZTE MF627

ZTE MF627 is stable I must say based on my experience. With some newer technology used in this model, it definitely is a good modem along with the MF622.

LOL ... ok ok ...

btw, any using U Mobile broadband, can you access P1 website, www.p1.com.my ?

i can't access it though. how about you?

how about Maxis/Celcom/Digi users? any issues? or is it limited to UM only?
*
P1 website is slow most of the time, quite difficult to access it with Streamyx and Celcom.

as far as i know, there r no more contracts. free for all smile.gif
*
Other providers are already starting to demolish their minimum contract period so if U-Mobile has a minimum subscription period, it will only be a disadvantage to them.

at this peak, prime-time hours? not bad ni.
*
As long as the network is not flooded with too many servers that they cannot cope, peak hours is not a problem for them. smile.gif

Notice that U Mobile BB is now aggressively promoting itself via gigantic billboards. Saw two already, one by PLUS highway in Serdang, the other near Jalan Kuching interchange with Jalan Tun Abdul Razak...
*
They might have upgraded their infrastructure to cater for more new subscribers. hmm.gif

sorry if this question has been asked many times before, I was just wondering what is the restricted speed for U-mobile broadband after I exceed the 5gb limit

edit*
oh i found the answer few pages back.. so 0.38mbps is the maximum capped speed? is that capped speed stable?
*
At that speed, it is still good enough for decent web browsing experience. Downloads can be quite slow though if you are downloading large files but shouldn't be a problem if you leave your computer on for downloads most of the time. smile.gif
