@yongkailoon or other mods, please split this thread to v2.

it's long overdue and no mods/staffs bother to do so.

thx.

not cheap to expand ... thats why umobile rely on celcom & later digi when using their service outside their std 3g coverage (aka broadband coverage).

even digi is expanding slowly but still suffers the same as umobile.

maxis & celcom took many many years to develop their infra up till now.

umobile as being a little young (2yrs? 3yrs now?), i think they r quite ok in terms of coverage in mostly klang valley (where the highest usage & higher cost of living are).

does it work like Streamyx's advert: put-your-modem-laptop-outside-the-window method?

others nvr get it. always complaining of umobile's FUP.

umobile ub68 = 5GB FUP (stated) but effective FUP is 10GB+ (?) with the price plan of RM68/mth.

no denial of service after reaching FUP, but only at a lower speed of 384kbps.

comparing with Maxis RM48/1.5GB, umobile's is SOoooooooooooo much affordable.

nooo pls dont  blush.gif
i've had enough bout quota limitation. already try maxis and celcom, both sucks although maxis speed is superb. now i hope UM still give unlimited quota, well, at least for me  tongue.gif
*
no unlimited quota lah. just that u r lucky havent been capped at 10gb! doh.gif

even aftr kena capp, u still can surf as usual (best used on mobile phones cuz of slower speed). NO EXTRA CHARGE incurred. RM68 = RM68 = RM68

so it's always the best plan around.

yup, no pro-rate if u terminate. i think this is to avoid fraud (e.g. u use 15GB in 9 days, then terminate immediately. once umobile prorate, u only need to pay ~RM20)

FAQ#13: http://www.u.com.my/policies-terms-and-con...adband-postpaid

Added on June 9, 2010, 10:17 amthe prorate is more critical to quota-based plans (ub6,ub10,ub20,ub48) . i think umobile applies the same principle on all plans.

unlimited = no extra charges after quota

other plans (besides u68): after quota will b charged RM0.01/KB (PAYU or Pay As You Use rate) - but capped at a maximum of RM176 (safety reason if you are unaware you have crossed the quota)

read the T&Cs:
