all modems behaves roughly the same,

coverage may expand, but it is the traffic that fluctuates from time to time.

u can check here http://u.com.my/service-centres . for starter pack, it only cost rm8
*
best way to get the starter pack is thru 7-Eleven.

also, they just launched a very low low prepaid rate at 12sen/min (flat to all networks) when u make any calls within umobile 3g network.

if digi's 700kbps is stable, then umobile's capped speed at 384kbps is even stable cuz of low-bandwidth (less error-prone due to high-speed)

yes u can simply get the existing prepaid simpack.

next up: top up to the value of the available plans' value http://www.u.com.my/u-broadband/plans

then: dial *118# to purchase directly from the screen shown http://www.u.com.my/u-broadband/getting-started

u have to remember that digi's doesnt go up to 3.6mbps. it's locked at 700kbps, which makes it more stable.

that's why digi "play the game".

um/maxis speed goes all the way up. so ppl will get varied speed/performance (cuz not all places can get high-speed).

biggrin.gif agree that the upload is poor. hope they can upgrade their system to provide better upload.

whenever i do upload, i use streamyx (getting 1mbps avg) biggrin.gif

i used digi bb b4, but worse than UM (download n upload). got coverage, but barely.

ub68's "unlimited" = no extra charge after FUP quota reached.

officially, FUP quota = 5GB, but users are reporting effective throttle (384kbps) happens at 15-20GB usage.

why they call you? jsut asking your situation? or they did something to reset the capped speed?

i wonder in your next reload, will it happen again.

better tell them to investigate and fix it from their side wink.gif

p/s: good speed there.

bukit jalil area is a hilly area ... signal may not be strong.

u can try with Prepaid (RM8 starter pack, comes with RM5 credit).

topup to at least RM68 to subscribe the best plan, UB68, which goes up to 3.6mbps. <-- so that u know how far your area "offer" you in terms of speed.

then try it for a week, see how is the performance in the morning, afternoon, and at night.

if satisfied, continue biggrin.gif
