QUOTE(MNet @ Apr 6 2009, 10:47 PM) they should provide a short code sms to buyer to sms their postcode to sell whether their place have 3G or not. its easy if you wanna chk for this UMBB coverage get a UM prepaid sim card slot into a 3G fon if you see the U MOBILE operator logo and the 3G on the screen, then tat particular spot can use UM HSDPA. this was wat i did b4 i sign up the data sim. i also tested my prepaid sim to surf using my hsdpa modem linking my nb. the rm17 ringgit prepaid value was used up under 60 seconds cause the speed was awesome juz tested a while ago

ok, i looking for new Broadband, i fed up with Maxis already.. so, this Umobile is really good? what i mean the connection stability and average speed at night. I stay at Kajang near Saujana Impian. I already try to search network with my Hand phone and i can see the MY18 3G there.

No harm in trying out this service since it is one of the cheapest if not the cheapest HSDPA connection in Malaysia. Most users of U-Mobile didn't really had much problems with it, only some occasional hiccups.

Huawei E220, kelana jaya..... (surf morning or night also same) is it device problem? even i tried surf inside timesquare the same... its not speed problem, but latency...
ping to hop 10.10.2.161 still ok. but from hop 123.136.101.194 onwards, 50% packet loss.

Could be a signal strength/quality issue if it is a packet loss problem. If everything is fine on U-Mobile's side, then the highest possibility is your device.
