QUOTE(Vinci777 @ May 13 2009, 01:56 PM) How come u guys umobile so fast? My u mobile in Desa Petaling slows like shit. Only manage to surf the internet because it will take a very long time to download or stream video. Well maybe its because the peak hours at 9pm onwards? or the area problem. The place i lives have many flats and im living on the ground floor. Lol. Still, its much better compared to Izzi. At least when i use umobile on other area such as Sungai Besi is quite fast. can i kone wat modem u use? or a fon as modem?

QUOTE(iRonTech @ May 26 2009, 10:45 AM) the max 350KB/s i got for dl.. (so far...) any tweak to reach 450KB/s ?? nite time ok for me btw 1xx-2xx KB/s, depend the sources, like amd/nvidia can hit 270KB/s oh ya, here to intro the TCP-Z (x86) which kinda good network statistics util, compare to the rest i been using. The only disadvantage is the current record stopped (overall record still running) once the dial-up line reconnected, need re-launch program. haven't try tweak the half open on win7, as i dun see required [attachmentid=986119] i facing very rare line disconnected lately. Unsure um line stability rate has been increased, or bcoz i flash my e200 to 7.2Mbps(11.117.10.00.00) made more stable line established i think um line stablise ady since last sunday i can dl more than 1gb in 120 mins now

QUOTE(iRonTech @ May 27 2009, 12:28 PM) qvod? one thing i dun quite understand...how come U's license just limited to 3.5G, without 2G (voice). can they survive w/o own voice license by renting line from siaocom? for the "benefits of your doubts" in area where there is 3G UM signal, UM utilise its own base station, meaning all voice, video and data are fr its very own stn and if u dun see any 3G signal on your 3G fon, then UM is using celcom 2G base stn, eg ; like XOXO, the recently launched telco

QUOTE(iRonTech @ May 28 2009, 01:55 PM) ok ok... mayb i should ask this way, by phone or mobile connect network search, i dun see 018 voice/data(gprs/edge) is U belum siap all voice network station ke? or license? (ya, by right they should deserve the 2g license as well) its HSDPA all the way wif no GPRS/Edge even 1 bar of signal is fast enough Added on May 29, 2009, 9:08 amQUOTE(lelynx @ May 28 2009, 09:44 PM) the surfing speed at evening seems to be back to normal from my side how about other places? mp place was super fast since last week jor This post has been edited by digilife: May 29 2009, 09:08 AM

Added on May 30, 2009, 12:46 ambtw, who is using other modems than ZTE MF622 here? if yes, what brand & model that you are using? will other brands have better signal receiving than ZTE MF622? mf622 is the best its cooler than most usb stick available nowadays, juz tat not as pratical cause my mf622 always danggle fr my netbk as i move fr here and there while surfing using one hand

QUOTE(fruitie @ Jun 4 2009, 11:04 PM) I manually searched the networks from my modem this afternoon and discovered this: Discovered this in my hometown, Port Dickson (30km from Seremban). Does it mean that my house is with U-Mobile 3G coverage? I would like to buy a normal prepaid SIM pack to try the signal first, can I do that with just a prepaid SIM? this is how mine looks;..................
yes, u might be able to use UMBB in PD cause your modem , like mine can detect the UM signal

QUOTE(fruitie @ Jun 5 2009, 04:45 PM) Ya was acknowledged about that but I'm not from Seremban anyway. i guess u hav to go to BTS cause by Mon, u will be in PJ and if you register at the PD dealer, it will takes 7 days for tat Usim to get activated, while in BTS, all data Usim is activated the moment you pay the rm68 upfront, like mine

QUOTE(yongkailoon @ Jun 8 2009, 09:01 PM) Does the RM99 per month plan have any fair usage policy? I think the latest SIM only package from Maxis is quite attractive but the downside is the 2GB monthly quota. the rm78/mth is the Maxis Wireless Broadband (WBB) and it hav a 2GB limit this one tat i juz subscribe for my bro is Maxis 3G internet, can surf on fon as well as via usb modem fyi, UM cannot surf on fon if data only line @ rm68/mth
