when i register my Usim in BTS abt 3 mths ago, i was asked to choose the MSISDN number tat i like.
after choosing, i was told tat all the sim here are already ACTIVATED
i slot the Usim into my 3G fon, it shows "sim card registration failed"
but when i slot it into myZTE MF622 USB modem, presto the signal area register 3 bars of UMTS ( my other Huawei/Vodafone USB modem shows WCDMA signal )

i am back on U

no proxy at all

but later at nite the connection will suk again

and thats why i maintain a second connection, EDGE by DiGi

U mobile only offer HSDPA (no Edge or GPRS ) broadband and it is entirely on its own NETWORK

for voice calls, if there is no Umobile network available it will ride on Celcom 2g for voice BUT its voice call prepaid and postpaid is much cheaper than wat celcom charges for the general users ( dun bring UOX customers into this discussion pls) and they calculate call block based on per second whereas celcom based on 20 secs per block

lets say u make a 10 secs call voice or video, umobile charges 10secs x 0.007 cent = 7 cents , if you based on celcom, i guess it will cost you 20 cents and maxis will be 49 cents if the user only topup rm5.00 each time

bro, u hav been using this Umobile for abt 10 days,
so wat is your observation and your conclusion
does it come near to wat i told you to expect or even exceeded ?

btw, i now started using QVOD to do my P2P and it ROCKS

it depends on the file and the time of the DL

usually a hot favourite ( latest AOD )in the morning hours of between 5.00am ~ 11am , it can average abt 130kBps~150kBps , mostly it will stay above 130kBps , for a normal movie, abt 50kbps
