its a scam, dont believe it. they advertise cheap for first trial or free upon consultation,
but when u r there, they force you to sign up package. their package is so damn expensive than what others can offer (marie france). they actually separated my sis n fren into different rooms & start telling the package they have. if can't afford, they come up with hal package, if still cant afford then they say, "oh, before my supervisor left today, she put here a vucher for discount. i'll give u the privilledge".. wtf they force, mati mati make you sign package. if u dun wan, then they ask you to buy their coffee.. again the price is so many times more expensive that what the market can offer you. basically, they just overpriced their services & mainly to scam people. -my personal experience- btw, London Weight Management (LWM), Yun Nam, New York Skin Solution.. these 3 are of same companies. singaporean companies, using the "forcing" technique to get customers. i hope that past experienced customers can speak out. can copy my reply to anywhere too feel free to pm me if you doubt. i'm also a customer of marie france. believe me, exercise & proper diet is most important. no ue to spend on slimming centers, cos they just ask you to calories count & proper diet!... you can buy slimming cream from drugstores & apply on your own too, save up few thousands. (visiting to slimming centers can fetch up to 10K or even more) |

Don't know if this is the right place to post. I just wanted to share my LWM experience with some people.
I have always been bigger sized than regular Asian girls. It didn't bother me at all. I am 27 years old this year. I am 168cm and at my heaviest, I weighed about 73kg. But mostly, it didn't bother me because I knew I exercised and I have some muscle weight, so as long as I didn't feel sluggish, I am healthy. One day, my colleague asked me to accompany her to try out 2 slimming sessions at LWM - so we bought the I Love Discounts voucher and went for it last Thursday. Unfortunately, my colleague couldn't make it, and I was curious what all the hype is about, with slimming centres. So I went without her. Upon my arrival, they requested my IC and credit card for registration. After that, one of the girls ushered me into a consultation room for more details - height, weight, problem areas, allergies, etc. This took a little over 1 hour. And in that 1 hour, I spent 50 minutes listening to her trying to sell me the 20 session package (which costs RM7,900). In between all the sales pitch, I mentioned to her several times that it was my first time trying anything like this and I really don't want to commit myself. I also said that I do not have the cash for it at the moment and given that I DO NOT have sufficient balance on my credit card, I was unable to pay anyway. Even that did not deter her from blabbering on and on - she said that Maybank was around the corner and I could go withdraw. My reply? I don't have that money in cash now. And hers? "Why don't you apply for another card now?" Frustrated, I insisted to her that I would like to try the service and machines first, since she had earlier on guaranteed me 4 - 16cm loss. So I proceeded to the first part of the trial - Aroma Steam Bath (20mins). Second part of the trial - Lavender Sea Salt Scrub & Warm Blanket (30mins). During the second part of the trial, again I was harassed to sign up for the package. I was in a blanket wrap (barring the disposable panties, I was naked, HOT, AND SWEATING LIKE A PIG) with her nagging on and on about how great a deal I was getting, how it is only for first time customers, how it is so bloody effective. As the 30mins came to a close, we proceeded to the third and final part of the trial, which was given to me FOC (I was told this one costs RM530) after I insisted during consultation, that I will not sign up for a package before I have tried anything. The third session lasted for about 45mins. During this time, which was obviously her final chance to get me to sign up for the package, she must have realised she couldn't persuade me to do so. She proceeded to summon her supervisor to force me to sign up for the package. Her supervisor then explained that for a trial of 10 sessions, it would only cost RM3,900. Once again, during the treatment, I was naked (except for the disposable panties), strapped to some wires connected to a machine, and literally can't really move that much. In the end, I was so tired from having to say NO. No. NO. No. NO. No. I was pretty confident that they wouldn't be able to swipe RM3,900 since I knew my card had less than that. And I was desperate for them both to leave me alone. So I told them to try swiping. The result? They swiped it for RM1,500 and told me to fill up some forms for another card and they will transfer the entire RM3,900 balance (RM1,500 + RM2,000) into that new card. And when I receive the new card, I can just cut and cancel it. "It would be like I didn't applied for another card at all!" they said. ***** Thank you for reading this far. Now I have a few things I need some help with... I have checked my card limit and it is still the same, so they did not request to increase the limit on my card, but the transaction has been approved (which means I'm stuck with this new balance). 1. How can I make a complaint against these two girls for harassing me after my clear cut indication of NO-NO-NO? 2. Is it possible to reverse the transaction, even though I had signed it? I ask because I felt that I was coerced into signing it. 3. Is it fraudulent to tell me that they will try to swipe RM3,900 and DID NOT inform me that they will try to swipe RM1,500 before doing so? ***** One last note to anyone trying to lose weight. In April I was 73kg. After working hard (this is hard work because you have to be consistent and determined) - 45-minute evening walks and 1-hour weekend swims (my diet was still the same), I now weigh 66kg. WITHOUT THE HELP OF ANY SLIMMING CENTRES. I think I look OK now and I don't feel unhealthy. My skin is fine, my stamina is better than before, I am less lethargic, and my asthma has improved. Who cares if everyone around you points at you and say "Look at that UK size 12!" I am happy to say that my boobs can carry that sweetheart tube dress better than any of those skinny girls at the LWM. It's also nice to know that my husband likes having a place that he can put his hands on. |
