You are missing out the clan houses in Penang.. Khoo Kongsi is a must see!!

And I do recommend Butterfly Farm.. because it's the nicest in Malaysia

i think E & 0 hotel you can get the basic room for 189++ now if i'm not mistaken. you can go to the websites for more info. that's what the info i get from my fren last time.

Man ...these 2 hotels r very expensive around batu feringghi n u surely know how to enjoy. Rasa Sayang's room is almost close to RM1k after the renovation n Lone Pine is abt Rm200+ oso after the renovation...he! he!...not within my budget for hotels.And those days the most expensive hotel was Penang Mutiara Beach Resort at Teluk Bahang..Gee...I miss the resort very much. d bathroom was awesome those days. The lobby has beautiful chandelier of WAU design...The tiramisu was Yummy at d coffee house (I can't find that type tiramisu in KL), The Italian restaurant...ummmm...miss them so much!

I did a search in that thread about my questions, and there were no answers at all on renting cars. There were many people asking, but no one gave them an answer other than "don't rent la" or "I don't know".

Also, that thread is full of info of where to go or eat. I think if I posed my questions there, it'll be so totally out of that topic.

As it's obvious I will be renting a car when I'm there, of course I will want a place that provides parking. Also, I specifically asked whether Tunes is the best place that's IN the city, not just ON the island.

I realised that you did the same thing to a few other threads (putting the links and then closing them.. I'm assuming you closed them, and mine too). Some would do very well to have done a search first, but for some others, they were totally on a different topic!

I'm running an annual dinner for my organization coming February so I'm currently looking for a hotel in Penang that suit the event. I would prefer a hotel near a beach because I planned to do some activities on the beach before the dinner starts.

Do I need to state my budget? My friend suggested me HardRock Hotel but it just too expensive, I can't afford it

So any hotel between 3-4 stars worth considering. Penangites, I need your help

hydro majestic is a nice hotel, after refurbish from feringhi hotel, the room is so nice!
the last time i stay is during labor day this year, rm270++

It is within walking distance except you have to cross the road! Actually if you want beach front, no need to go so far as Bt.Feringghi. Tanjung Bungah has a lot with beach front all on the right as you drive from Georgetown. Rates are cheaper and there's a food court nearby. Nearer to town minus the winding road, afterall the sea in Bt.Feringghi is just the same as in Tg.Bungah.
