QUOTE(vkeong @ May 15 2008, 11:49 AM) You are missing out the clan houses in Penang.. Khoo Kongsi is a must see!! True Butterfly are great !! With Rm10, its a real value visited there. 1 more things is Taman Rempah near Bt Feringghi. So realxing when you take a train trip inside there and hanging at their cafe with lovely smell. And I do recommend Butterfly Farm.. because it's the nicest in Malaysia |

QUOTE(DrezzUp @ Nov 28 2008, 01:07 PM) Ermm....not expensive taste. I like hotel surrounding and I don't mind whether its contemporary design or not. Between those 2, I like Lone Pine more. I prefer more on small hotel because I can get their greatest service. This post has been edited by Putraskyline: Nov 28 2008, 01:42 PM |

QUOTE(stimix @ Nov 28 2008, 03:01 PM) Haha..putraskyline only go for either 5 star or boutique status hotels & the most important thing... Infinity pool.. Gosh...Hmm not like that lar Stimix.Added on November 28, 2008, 8:00 pm QUOTE(DrezzUp @ Nov 28 2008, 02:11 PM) Man ...these 2 hotels r very expensive around batu feringghi n u surely know how to enjoy. Rasa Sayang's room is almost close to RM1k after the renovation n Lone Pine is abt Rm200+ oso after the renovation...he! he!...not within my budget for hotels. And those days the most expensive hotel was Penang Mutiara Beach Resort at Teluk Bahang..Gee...I miss the resort very much. d bathroom was awesome those days. The lobby has beautiful chandelier of WAU design...The tiramisu was Yummy at d coffee house (I can't find that type tiramisu in KL), The Italian restaurant...ummmm...miss them so much! Lone Pine are not that expensive when you have right CC to paid. Last time deluxe room pool facing only paid Rm175 with Citibank. This post has been edited by Putraskyline: Nov 28 2008, 08:00 PM |

QUOTE(electronicfly @ Apr 16 2009, 09:32 AM) St.Paul: Err, my budget is anything lower than RM50/person for 3 nights? Lol, I know, that's extremely low, but Tunes has that price now, and I don't care that it's frills-free. So if the topic was different, why you need another redundant thread rather than continue posting there for more info to be shared? If your spoonfed answer was not there, just ask in that thread. It was nice rather that open new topic and I believe you are not reading on Penang thread. You are such lazy brat. Thanks for your recommendation, shall go there when I've more money.. Putraskyline: I actually HAVE gone to those threads before opening this, and if you didn't realise, http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=645573&hl=penang is all about where to go in Penang. I did a search in that thread about my questions, and there were no answers at all on renting cars. There were many people asking, but no one gave them an answer other than "don't rent la" or "I don't know". Also, that thread is full of info of where to go or eat. I think if I posed my questions there, it'll be so totally out of that topic. As for http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=633709&hl=, again, yes I've been there before, but that question was too general for me. As it's obvious I will be renting a car when I'm there, of course I will want a place that provides parking. Also, I specifically asked whether Tunes is the best place that's IN the city, not just ON the island. I realised that you did the same thing to a few other threads (putting the links and then closing them.. I'm assuming you closed them, and mine too). Some would do very well to have done a search first, but for some others, they were totally on a different topic! Please read and understand the topics carefully next time. Just because it's about Penang it doesn't mean it's about the same thing. This post has been edited by Putraskyline: Apr 16 2009, 01:13 PM |

QUOTE(rayz1031 @ Oct 22 2009, 04:43 PM) I'm running an annual dinner for my organization coming February so I'm currently looking for a hotel in Penang that suit the event. I would prefer a hotel near a beach because I planned to do some activities on the beach before the dinner starts. If you cannot afford Rasa Sayang/Hard Rock, you should look Park Royal (300++) or Holiday Inn (200++).Too bad my favorite hotel there are closed for renovation. All located at Bt Feringghi. Elsewhere, opt for Tg Bungah, Paradise Sandy Bay or Copthorne Orchid may be suit your budget. Bt Feringghi more happening at night because got Bazaar for look and see Do I need to state my budget? My friend suggested me HardRock Hotel but it just too expensive, I can't afford it So any hotel between 3-4 stars worth considering. Penangites, I need your helpĀ Thank you so much for the feedback. QUOTE(etigge @ Dec 23 2009, 09:42 PM) It is within walking distance except you have to cross the road! Actually if you want beach front, no need to go so far as Bt.Feringghi. Tanjung Bungah has a lot with beach front all on the right as you drive from Georgetown. Rates are cheaper and there's a food court nearby. Nearer to town minus the winding road, afterall the sea in Bt.Feringghi is just the same as in Tg.Bungah. Owh...but wait. Its rocky surface right in front of Hydro? Yeah I know Tg Bungah has a lot beach front hotel but ambience and hotel type are different. |
