ais kacang without sarsri flavor is fail one

I don't troll in T&L 

As i know, only Penang serves ais kacang with sarsi flavor. Giving it a very fresh and gassy aroma. Other ais kacang is just purely syrup + shaved ice which has only 1 taste, sweet. Kinda boring

i know a few locations, New World Park @ Swatow Lane
Kek Seng @ Penang Road
The famous teow chew chendol @ Penang Road, and
Lorong Selamat's Coffee Shop, where the expensive char koay teow used to be at

One thing though, they are all operated by Chinese, so I am not really sure about the halal-ity

new world park cannot pakai liao, lansi summore have to stand there and self servis, bull la.

sin seh kai kopitiam outside is better.

kek seng okay but parking is a impossible

penang road one is nais but srsly the stall opposite him also not bad one.

lorong selamat one i nvr try b4 cos there is expense food territory. now the CKT is Rm6 cheapest dy.

Added on December 24, 2009, 12:53 pmputra i think ur safer bet is Penang Road Famous Teochew ABC. Cos their branches in KL (Giant hypermart) all halal one. And they are individual stall on roadside.

those are the notoriously "famous" ones, fried with super huge prawns. normal ones are still RM3-RM3.50

Which beach hotel  is the cheapest?

my gf and I are thinking of spending about 1 week in Penang. Can anyone please recommend a motel/budget hotel to stay for less than 100 a night?

wah lao eh... 99++ i think is the single bed room . I think my room is the Deluxe Seaview room which is higher price also. i guess the 99++ is the single bed room or small room type.

i think we need to compare apple vs apple here not to create a huge panic . Im sure they have surcharge rate on special season. I mean lets look at it this way, those guys in the hotel working during our holiday and its really pity for them also... so i treat it as part holiday and charity.

Warning to all non-penang kia .. please do not come to the island on chinese new year.
We penang lang want to go home.
Don't want to see gurney drive, georgetown, eateries etc jammed by W, B, J cars.

greetings ppl, on the 10th march i will be going to penang with my girl. Its just a small vacation that we planned suddenly. We have never been to penang before. We are taking airasia flight from kl lcct to penang on the 10th march and fly back on 13th march noon. Since 3 days we would be there, i kinda need to know places where i can go in penang. We both love the beach and we wouldlike to stay in some affordable challet that is on the beach. i googled some sites in penang, and i ot to know that i can also go langkawi from penang by ferry. I need some input on this. Should i spend 3 days in penang or go langkawi? Any suggestion is appreciated. thanks alot.

last time i stay at hydro hotel also rm200++ liao, and its quite far from all other hotel

unless you stay at those super cheap one beside hydro hotel, rm50 per nite nia

500 per night? no way i can find cheaper place? haihhhhh forget it...
