Booked my favorite hotel along Bt Feringghi for Deepavali weekend. Hoping the same as before it was renovated 1-2 years ago. Anyone have update on Penang Hill train service already open?

Wat's their special room rates?
*
380++. Room perfect, service sucks. At this time, Golden Sand or Park Royal better.

How about Hard Rock facilities and service? How much is their membership fees and benefits?
*
Hard Rock facilities was great but its not the place if you want to relax. Crowded and mostly a family hotel. Membership priced at RM90. You got room upgrade and 10% off from FnB.

Last month I asked about HardRock Hotel membership, is it about RM750. sad.gif
*
Whats included in your package? You can enjoy their facilities without having a stay at their hotel?

This is the package I have told you in reply above : http://www.hardrock.com/all-access/loyalty2_terms.asp

Btw, I never heard RM750 package before this.

Please make sure you dun eat any lunch or have very early brunch.  laugh.gif

PS Bring your camera.

I agree. I spend an evening at E&O for their hi tea. Cheap and great if compared to KL.

For convenience or any other factors, which do you guys / girls recommend;

1) Northam Hotel
2) Traders Hotel
3) Laurel Evergreen Hotel

I reckon all above are below RM300 per night.
*
I vote for Northam. Good value for the price you paid.

@Putraskyline : Noted. Do you know what's the condition like? As in, does it look / feel old and such? If I'm not mistaken, it is near to Gurney Drive, right?
*
Hotel interior and exterior are still in good shape but I found out the room decor and amenities a bit tired (I'm commenting by comparing to those 5* Batu Feringhi hotel). With 200++/ night its still good bargain especially you get very spacious room with jacuzzi. Yeah its near to Gurney Drive. Actually whats your plan visiting Penang?

Holiday Inn or Bayview is it good enough?  icon_question.gif
*
Holiday Inn better than Bayview because of the location and facilities provided in the hotel but they have 2 wings, one is tower (Across road) and another one is beach wings. Room interior also different, beach wings more exclusive, easy access to pool and beach.

Haha yeah will be slightly different right? Btw, if you need good rates for Holiday Inn, try this IHG Friend and Family Rates

** I managed to grab Intercontinental Club Room Bali at USD 232 using Friends and Family rates. Do reply here if you managed to grab good rates compared to other sites too.

Would it be overkill if one to go to Penang for holidays for 4D3N instead of 3D2N?
*
I would say not. Usually I will go Penang if I can get 4d3n or 5d4n at Bt Feringghi.
