Bro, i think the Mean Machine was at Juru Autocity 31 0ct n 1 n0v rite..? so i suggest u search for homestay around bandar perda or seberang jaya...that the nearest area to Juru autocity...and much more cheaper...

Have not heard of any established homestay around Bandar Perda or Seberang Jaya... Got a few hotel and budget hotels around there though.. Maybe sometimes can find private rental as advertised in those flyers that distributed to houses..

The only one hotel at Autocity sure fully booked by now..

you can try to check on Stallions Service Apartment near Penang Bridge or Kristal Suite at Bayan Lepas. From there, can reach Juru Autocity in 20-25mins(via penang bridge).

anyone can recommend hotel in penang. ern maybe beach. budget 200-300.
or town oso can if beach is expensive.

bayview ah.. ok lah near to chulia st and such, but many transvestites around at night.. not that safe to walk alone

hi guys.. i need some info about how to go from Penang International Airport, Bayan Lepas to Institut Perubatan Dan Pergigian Termaju, Kepala Batas.. and then from there to Hentian Kompleks, Butterworth by public transport.. heard cab charges might be a bit expensive.. so i prefer to travel by bus..

Taxi from airport to Kepala Batas, RM$80.

Both places are at mainland side, might as well take bus to Butterworth instead of flying into Penang airport.. If you want public transport, from the airport, need to take bus to the jetty (Weld Quay), take ferry to Butterworth, then bus to Kepala Batas.

Take Rapid Penang 401a to Jetty at Georgetown. Then use the ferry to Butterworth mainland. From thereafter go down from the harbour, you need to go to the new Penang Sentral Bus Station. You cna see it from the ferry.

Then ask around the Sentral bus station have some bus non air con to Kepala Batas.

2nd option is, after take bus 401a drop at Sungai Nibong Bus Station. You can ask the bus operator at the top any bus to Kepala Batas. Is air con bus just a bit expensive can reach kepala Batas Bus station. Thenfrom there you ask the ppl.

thanks guys.. i get the idea now.. so need to take bus to jetty first, then take ferry, then bus again.. any estimated time on how long will it takes to travel from airport to kepala batas using this method?

Good news is there's Rapid Penang bus servicing Butterworth to Kepala Batas! Bus service no U601, departing from Penang Sentral (Butterworth bus terminal), every 30mins. Check Rapid Penang web..

Time estimation, Excluding waiting time:
- From Airport to Penang Jetty, around 1hr, +/- 30mins.
- Walk from jetty to ferry, 7mins
- Ferry rides is 20mins, FOC from Pen-B'worth.
- walk from ferry to bus terminal, 5mins
- B'worth to K. Batas, by bus, I would estimate around 1 hr.

Total "transport" time: 2hr 30mins (my estimation)

FYI, the bus stop at the airport is at the departure level, ie one level above arrival hall. Make sure you take 401A to jetty. 401(the return bus from Balik Pulau) also goes to the jetty, but takes longer route and there's complaint that the bus goes to Queensbay Mall and wait a while there.

I still think that it's easier if you take bus, direct to Butterworth rather than fly into Penang... good luck!

Does anyone knows if there is a Kathina Celebration this sunday 31 Oct at Wat Buppharam @ Perak Rd? Any idea whats the program schedule? Can't seems to find it in the net.
