I just arrived back from Krabi yesterday night.

Krabi started raining more than 24hrs straight since Jan 1. I left on Jan 2 and most roads already half flooded. Went past Hat Yai and alot of roads are single lane only and in some cases only can be passed by 4wd. The road from Hat Yai to Sadao can see traces of floodwaters and there are families living in tents along the main road.

Still no idea whats wrong when using the map with nuvi 1300. When trying it on an older unit i have, nuvi 255w, the map works. I guess its some copy protection enabled that rejects the malfreemap.

Further experimenting with the nuvi 1300, once after the border in Thailand, I can route fine within any point in Thailand. Only when routing across boundaries will have issue. Looks like its only working with malsingmaps.

Try agoda, booking.com, asiarroms & etc. Most of the time, booking via these 3rd parties discounted websites cheaper than directly deal wth the hotels (Well not all the time haha)

Just walk a bit from the Custom, you will notice many tut-tut and taxi by the road side waiting for customer. Tut-tut is RM15 from border to Hatyai.

I've heard of getting hotel and massage vouchers from the local tour agencies. But I never knew they also provided girls. blink.gif
