QUOTE(sojen @ Nov 25 2011, 05:36 PM) LNB1: News in October? Feeling bit scared. Leaving for Had Yai tonight..... QUOTE Flash flooding also hit many areas in Hat Yai, the business district of Songkhla on Sunday night.
Floodwater rapidly reached 30cm near Hat Yai Technical College on Songkhla-Hat Yai road. The flood waters are high near Hat Yai University on Phon Phichai-Ban Phu road.
Wanchai Sakudomchai, director of the meteorology centre for the eastern South, said heavy rainfall would hit the area until Saturday and could set off mountain torrents and flash floods in high risk areas in Phatthalung, Songkhla, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Pattani, Yala and Narathiwat.
The Meteorological Department yesterday issued a warning for heavy rains and strong winds in the southern provinces. http://www.bangkokpost.com/news/local/2672...es-flash-floodsyes bro, HDY town is still on surveillance radar, this and plus the oncoming floods i think i will put my travel plans on hold unless absolutely necessary for now This post has been edited by LNB1: Nov 28 2011, 05:56 AM

I recommend Lee Garden Hotel. In the middle of the city. Lots of food to eat around whole day long.
I feel like going to Hatyai for the motor show.

From hadyai to butterworth. But i don't remember the exact place tho... its on a busy street opposite a shopping center, i don't think you can missed it. Its very obvious

Why need a van to Penang from Butterworth? Just walk to the ferry terminal and take the ferry across can liao.. Thereafter just a cab of rapidPenang to your destination

It's faster to travel via Butterworth even wth the 15 min via ferry & probably 15min of waiting rather than taking such a big round using Penang bridge.. not forgetting the jam
