16GB iPhone seeing shortages worldwide


The recently introduced 16GB iPhone is seeing shortages that are restricting Apple's ability to serve both foreign markets and even its own, according to checks by iFUN. In the US, the online Apple Store lists the high-end handset as shipping in 5-7 days, while T-Mobile Germany's iPhone page makes no mention of the device, listing only the 8GB version. Austria and France also continue to display the 8GB model alone.
This delay may last for a long time, according to one T-Mobile spokesperson, who only expects to see availability of the 16GB iPhone within four weeks. The shortage is credited to higher than expected demand, although representatives from Apple and French provider Orange have not commented on the situation, which does not affect UK buyers.

Supplies of the 16GB version may potentially be constrained by stock, as Apple is known to use rarer, higher-density flash memory in the cellphone due to space constraints.

Hmm... just downloaded Customize.app (version 1.22) from wikicode, winSCP into the Applications and set rights to 755/775 (tried both), Customize still crash back to SpringBoard... Anybody?

You can also get iCosta or weFIT for Chinese input, look for weiPhone repository...

Added on March 15, 2008, 9:44 pm This was answered many times... you can either use BBInfo or HWInfo to check your BL... both app can be download from trejan's repository... use Google to search "trejan" if can't get it...

Yes, I'm using iCosta PinYin to key Chinese in SMS and contacts. Pretty straight forward.

I'm curious,if BL 3.9 cannot be reversed/upgraded to BL4.6, then if apple come up with a newer BL eg. BL5.4, then 4.6 would be deemed useless as well?

Err... no need to install other thing, the only thing that I can think of is to change your Asian font in setting-general-international to Chinese. And yes, we can read Chinese SMS and those Chinese website all showing Chinese charactres..

BL is actually referring to its rom version, so it sholdn't affect much

what its meant jailbroken?

means it has already jailbreak'd. if u got Installer icon on your iPhone it signifies that it has undergone jailbreak before, and thus it is jailbroken.
