Dude, cannot judge that the driver must be female one, sometimes male drive even worst than female.

proX is right....press both to activate it back..my saga have that happened once

Thanks for giving that info. Will give it a try now.

Btw, TS should note those small problem down and put it as a FAQ in 1st page, easier for new owner to check it whether they having the same problem or not. So far, I think the ke rok ke rok sound, few members have it, can be fix at SC FOC and alarm stuff of my case. What you guys think?

My SA didn't mention anything about checking but he told me the car already been wash and wax, at workshop there waiting for me only. Then when I go collect the car, the workshop is doing checking on every new car I can see over there so I assume that my car is been checked, washed and waxed before handed to me. LOL

Just back from service, SC did improve their service, took the car there at around 8am, came home 10am, last time normal service take at least till 12pm.

Anyway, no more ke rok ke rok sound and back door knorb fixed already. Charges is RM100, reasonable I guess.

By the way, is your guys saga the key hole there, the ring light will on? Mine since first day till now also don't have, just now forgot to tell SC there, might need to wait till next time. Anyway to test it whether it have or don't have?

ching, why did the SC you charge u rm100...i thought it's still under warranty...for my case they fix the ke rok sound for FOC but it still comes back after 2 day... planning to go again to the SC when my car's mileage reach 1k for service
*
Under warranty but does not cover for the "black oil". I didn't buy it so use the one from EON. Haven't check the receipt yet, will check then list out what they charge me for.

Will continue monitoring for the ke rok ke rok, see whether it will comes back.

So far, ke rok ke rok sound is quite common, door knorb also. Got few friends from forum having the same issue, anyone getting their car soon, make sure you check for this issues.

For normal driving, below 2k RPM is alright for me, around 60km/h. But if want higher speed, need go above 2k RPM.

I noticed some cars even you don't throttle to high rpm like stay in 1-2k rpm, the car still can accelerate very fast... hmm.gif
*
It depends on the gear ratio. Like Honda city ratio, it is damn low until idle is around 600rpm only. 110km/h lower than 2k RPM. That's the way to save petrol.

Grounding should not be voiding the warranty just an add on not moding anything also. As for aveo i know its posted in the motor traders mag in the continental section.  smile.gif

Oh ya a break through for all saga owners out there i found a simple solution to the blinking door ajar lights when going over bump i found out that the door sensor is not long enough to be depress fully so i added padding inside the rubber so when i close the door the sensor will be fully depress after that no more blinking lights when going over bumps. Mine was the right back passenger door.Just take out the screw and the rubber and add padding inside be it anything from papers to eraser just make sure its not too big but enough to depress the sensor fully when u close the door  rclxms.gif  No more disco lights at night

*
I do not have any problem with the blinking light due to the door is not fully close. Maybe you should take it back SC and ask them to check for you.

QUOTE(jceh83 @ Mar 24 2008, 01:51 AM)
more or less only the gear ratio plays with how the car accelerates bro...

by my experience, its how much torque your engine outputs and at what revs can you achieve max torque that really has something to do with acceleration...

correct me if i'm wrong but thru my experience in cars, campro engines are rev hungry engines that's why they came out with IAFM to correct this problem...our saga now reaches max torque of 120Nm at 4000rpm...

therefore I think anywhere from 2000rpm the saga would have slightly better acceleration as its building up torque...one forummer has already reported that he finds revving anything above 4000rpm seems faster....
*
That's the engine and gear ratio matter. I think you are right with it, campro + IAFM, slightly high RPM then only can boost the power. Campro CPS need even higher RPM compare to Campro IAFM if I'm not mistaken...

Anyway, so envy with Civic's engine, low RPM but high power. Low petrol but drive fast...

Zzz....
Just received SMS from my SA
Due to I need car fast, he said my car plate number will cost me total RM600... had to pay no choice because my old car already give to him last week friday to secure a better price, now no car, can't go out

RM600.... sigh
thats RM250 extra out of the supposed to be RM350

Reason he said is
".. i register number u... sbb u nak ari nie i kena pakai runner... so total utk number u rm600... WRD XXXX... ok ya"

What else to say except, "ok la"
haizzz....
*
QUOTE(chiggy @ Mar 24 2008, 06:12 PM)
zzzz....
now my SA called again
He said number get already, but JPJ office closed because it is 5.00pm already

But he say, add another RM50, he can get the JPJ office to register it and get it done now....

thats total RM650 for a plate number
same as what ethan experienced, same amount but different story

RM650 !!!!

Added on March 24, 2008, 5:19 pmSigh, so the promised 4.00pm to deliver has now been broken

Now he say at night can...
night means I have to be careful when inspecting the car before signing the papers

Haiizzz...

And you know the best part, my SA's manager asked me to introduce to him customers. With all this problems .... better think twice

Just to repeat again, this is the Kelana Jaya branch inside Giant Hypermarket
*
Dude, you shouldn't do that. Borrow car, take public transport or whatever stuff also can, you let the salesman cheated you at least RM300 for this issue. All he said is bullshit, you shouldn't listen to him. I follow SA go JPJ, got my number within 10 minutes and it is RM350 due to it is choosen number but yours... doh.gif

QUOTE(MR_alien @ Mar 24 2008, 08:36 PM)

Try lock the car with remote, then unlock it, leave it for a while, it will auto lock back one. Mine do have this feature.

QUOTE(chiggy @ Mar 25 2008, 12:40 AM)
OK got my car at 9.30pm just now

2. My back seat right door cannot unlock. Have to pull it up manually to unlock. Sometimes hard to pull up. SA say to make a trip to SC at Jalan 227. The SA looks puzzled about the Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI). At the same time he can introduce those SC people to me. Well, looks like its weekend for this Same goes to me, SC will fixed it FOC

3. I think some have experience this. After taken the car. Go for a ride. From time to time, I felt that there is light inside. The light is actually my err.. car inside light on top, the door open one. The faster I drive, the light is more frequent. Stopped at the road side, nothing. Push the door (driver side), light comes out. This goes same to the dashboard warning light on door open. Push a bit, light lits. Now I need to switch of the light in order to drive. I do not have such issue, I think this happen to several batch

4. Sound. All I hear is ooo-ooo-ooo sound. Not too loud but can be heard inside. Don't know what is the correct sound. This is during idle time. Ask SA, SA shake head, dunno what is it. They say, want to know more, ask SC I think it is normal, campro engine sound

6. No ABS. Well, first time drive car with no ABS. This time have to press more in order for the brake to engage. You do not step more for the break to engage, you need to step and release, step and release, without ABS, if you step it more, it will lock the tyres

8. That #*$(#$*@ SA went and stick my roadtax. Zzzz.... later I hope the tinting people know how to take it off without breaking it. That's normal, they'll help to stick the roadtax then only can hand the car to you, if not without roadtax how to drive the car for you? Only if you follow him go get the car and stick the roadtax yourself

10. KM on the car before handing the keys to me - 65km. I think it is acceptable because of the trips to SC for PID checking. According to the manager, from proton plant to proton edar, a PID is done. Then when customer confirm to take the car, then another trip to SC for PID.If distance far away then it is forgivable, else it should be less than 20km

11. Free Gifts? Hand towel from Insurance. Tinting voucher of RM300 discount for Rhino Cool. It is tint + break safety. Tomorrow he asked me to see him again for a free lock, don't know is it steering or pedal lock, I think steering lock cuz it is cheaper. And if not mistaken, maybe an umbrella Never heard this brand before but as far as it is working then it should be fine

12. One item missing - antenna. SA say to get from him tomorrow because the admin is closed. Wonder why he didn't get it earlier. It shouldn't be missing, the SA really useless one, blacklist him and spread his badness to everywhere, let him get no business

Thats all for 2 hours.

Sleep time, tomorrow drive to work.

dun have.. =( sob..but i went cheras to tint my car RM290 life time warranty. n the tint is the same as v-cool but the difference is they didnt brand it..thats what they told me..maybe i kena con! lolz =P but the tint is still great..

black car in the afternoon not as hot as before w/o tinting =P
*
V-Kool or V-Cool? Don't get bluff by the shop name, V-Kool is the branded one, not V-Cool. Make people confuse on the "K" and "C". A good tinted, you should not feel any heat even though the sun shoot directly on your hands, if you wear a black pants, you won't feel any warm either. That's the way I judge whether a good tinting. Normally every tinted that over 80%, you barely can feel the heat one, consider a good one.

I have no idea what tint is given to me. mellow.gif It comes free when I bought wan wor... should I just ask to get a voucher instead and do it myself? unsure.gif
*
It comes free but you can choose to top up and get another one. Usually those voucher same as the free tinted, it just a free tinted from SA, the cheapest one. If you use the voucher without top up, you got the same free tinted like SA gave you only. If you have spare money, why not go for expensive one and no need to feel the heat pain from sun? LOL

QUOTE(MR_alien @ Mar 25 2008, 05:06 PM)
any one here can recommend me some tint shop at kk, inanam, likas, tuaran
i want good tint and cheaper if possible
i dn't want dark dark those..just want it to block the sun..cuz my car is really hot like microwave
for example like solar gard...etc.....have brand or no brand also can ..just not dark
*
It will still hot one even you tinted. Without air cond or open window, you car will still like sauna in afternoon due to the stucked air inside the car. Tinted only good to prevent the sun light, won't feel eyes pain, won't feel the heat when it shine directly to your skin. Dark or not dark, as long as the visible % is approve by JPJ, it is consider not dark one. Mine is blue color, quite match to the car, even at night, still can see through so no need to worry about it. My advise is, get a branded one, at least the quality is better.

Just realize in the saga brochure, West and East Malaysia have different price. Is it true that owner from East Malaysia need to pay extra for it?

RM39998 VS RM42746.70

That's quite a lot difference....

chiggy, I've been driving my saga for almost 1 month, never got this kind of sound before, you better take your car back SC for a check. Over all, I see your car is the most problematic one among this forum, no offence but safety comes first.

Yeah, agree for it. Freaking cold, I turn on level 1 but the cold stuff (blue in color), I totally off it only sometimes afternoon will level up 1-3. LOL

QUOTE(chiggy @ Mar 26 2008, 01:06 PM)
ok guys
What color do you see from my BLM zircon green?

On my camera i see blue, well... not real blue, but bluish like the blue color BLM seen through naked eye
In my house LCD monitor, Samsung Wide Screen, I see blue
In my Acer Notebook, I see green... not as green as seen through naked eye
In my office HP 15" CRT Monitor, I see blue, same like my camera
In my office Dell LCD monitor, I see green, almost same like my Acer Notebook

What do you see?

[attachmentid=426652]
*
I see it is green. BLM saga the green color is almost same as blue one, for those who haven't seen a green color before will think that it is a blue color.

QUOTE(chiggy @ Mar 26 2008, 03:11 PM)
think is a new car syndrome tongue.gif

i notice that new car don't have that "thing" that can close and open the individual air con vent. Like older cars than can do it, we can half close the vent to let half the air come out

Added on March 26, 2008, 2:15 pm
Hmm... on my notebook, I can see the difference well enough, blue vs green
on my HP CRT monitor, Blue I can see well, the green looks cyan

Monitor setting problem, causing the white balance problem.

Im going to check this friday and get things iron out the kluk kluk sound and tak tak sound plus alignment coz streering shaking at high speed. Im at D i just floor the pedal and the RPM just climb till i reach 6k RPM quite fast i might say and i maintain there for a short time i think still can go futher but dont dare at red line border already next time i try 7k rpm after 1000km service.
*
Streering shaking = balancing problem.
Streering turns to one side on straight road = alignment problem.

My alignment got some problem I guess, turn to right side a bit when on straight road, need to go have a check this saturday.

oh auto.. u rev from 0 kph izzit?

tak tak tak sound is from engine or absobers?

steering shaking is because of ur wheel balancing. (like what ching4ever said)
16" rims = more FC koz ur wheels is big.. it takes a bigger circle to make a full spin. thats y ur KM perhour will measure slightly lesser. unless u use a low profile tyre that is the same size as the current rims with tyre. but i think it will also increase the FC koz heavier..but for nice..need to suffer abit =)

ur car going sideways? wah like ular.. =ppPP!

neway what colour is ur saga bro?
*
Yeah, that's why it is not the time to change the rims and tyres first. Use it for maybe 1 or 2 years first. By the way, the color is silver for my saga.

*
RM20 huh...will take it to tyre shop this saturday, see how much they charge me.
