English ed > Chinese Ed. period. altho if a girl did primary skool in chinese ed then went for secondary skool in english ed, that'd be pretty ok too.

hello there, i'm a chinese ed myself and i have always wanted to be in a english speaking environment. sadly, my parents had a different thought, they put me into a chinese school and they didn't even bother to ask for my opinion (who would listen to kids huh). luckily all this time i expose myself to english movies, radio stations, musics, newspapers and more movies. so it's fair for me to say that i have a decent knowledge of english and there's still room for improvement when it comes to speaking fluent english.
back to the main topic, i fancy english ed/ hybrid girls more. reason: just the way they are. |

So how many years have you spent to brush up your english? I can see your english writing is pretty good. |

I see, it seems you went through the hard times.I didn't go anywhere better than you. It's just a coincident that my english teacher was a church-goer and having english services, I asked her to bring me there. I was in FORM 4 that time. I was so lost, being all alone, no friends, no one knew me and most importantly, I didn't get what the pastor was preaching, not at all... Well, I have much to go, I know. All the best to you. |

QUOTE(nokia2003 @ Mar 1 2008, 09:36 PM) chinese ed gals tend like to add words like 'oh' or 'hu hu hu' to their sentences on top of the typical 'la'. the above is so right!! and... i will try to minimise my oh, huhu, and la's from today onwards...in addition to that, they love to pose in what we 'english' speaking blokes like to summarise as the top-5-picture-taking-poses. 1. index finger on one side of their cheek. 2. two open palms right below their chin, mimicking a blooming flower 3. the peace sign (of course) 4. open palm with the thumb and the rest of the four digits resembling a 90 degree angle (an L shape) 5. the peace sign adjacent to one side of their eyebrow of course, i do not intend to offend anyone here as i am speaking in general (from what i gather from my friends). to be fair, i would definitely say about 40 plus guys (plus minus) have a good weekend people! Added on March 1, 2008, 9:40 pmoh yeah, they love to use this '~~~~~' icon. for what reason? i have the slightest clue. yay, english ed girls win! my bf and i always wonder why people need to post like that, and we have a good laugh whenever we see that. now i start to wonder how do we define english ed and chinese ed.. cos most of us come from SK schools. i was from those missionary schools, so we speak english all the time and thus, i consider myself english ed! for those from the SK schools who speak chinese as their main language, they are chinese ed! my ex, SK-ed, wasnt good in english and it was tough cos trying to lower my standard to communicate with him. those SK-chinese speaking girls really dress, talk and behave differently.. do any english ed gals dress anime-like? i think those usually wearing loud clothes are chinese ed too. we english ed gals call them 'yeh' |

Being better in english dont make one an english ed. language is seldom the factor. its the attitude and general pandangan that separates english and chinese ed students. Exposure plays a part too in the form of media choices.
