So if legion of WW fans able to flock the cinema, it will be a repeat of WW opening. The question now is will Thor able to be relevant in the coming 2 weeks as WB marketing on hyperdrive.
Wife seen 30 mins of it and looking good. No indication will carry over if it is any good as a movie on a whole. By coming monday or so the complete version will be out for filmboard certification so got snip locally or not is anybody guess.

Actually she is my client as I do trailer localization and editing for sponsorship tie-in like if KFC decide to buy sponsorship for JL they will come to me to edit promo clip out of the trailer or extended footages that the studio provide me with. LOL....

She is the last person you want to hear how good a movie gonna be especially the one she is directly working on. During that premiere the WB executives and staff main focus is ensuring the event runs like a clockwork especially with all the celebrities and VVIP guests. Down the road she will need to put out half a dozen screenings more or so, she will just check out from the movies she had a hand working on. She will be more interested in talking how well the movie tracking across cinema halls and does it generate enough social media awareness or how much she can swindle out of advertisers. LOL...

Well the industry insiders just look at movies as product to push to the masses and they have a different perspectives altogether. I too suffer from the same problem as I avoid disney movies like a plague cause I did hundreds of localized trailers with them when I started.

In regardless JL a good movie or not it will make a killing at BO initially but definitely can't tell whether it has serious legs like WW or MCU movies.

On the surfaced we insert premiere date of respective countries and vo.This is before youtube/facebook become a thing...cause distributors regularly advertised on tv and radio back in the days. Nowadays we do it for display panel at cinema and social media. Trailers from US came to us with empty titling and in extreme cases we also censor clips in order to pass LPF certificate for any public screenings of the trailers. We get more work in HK as they are more chinese language focus and practically every foreign languages will be translated into traditional chinese character and VO rerecording of announcer. Its all tedious work and we become numb to the movies we are working on as we watched dozen of times of the same trailer over and over again. Luckily nowadays i don't do the editing myself anymore and more of supervisory role. The only perks is some early screenings here and there or early bluray releases that my wife usually get for free from her dealings with suppliers. LOL....
