I'm not sure if this is gonna happen but:

DC Fans Start An Online Petition For The Release Of Zack Snyder's Version Of JUSTICE LEAGUE

https://www.comicbookmovie.com/justice_leag...-league-a155521

I think Zack had already shown his final cut to WB execs and while they liked it, they felt it lacked something hence the re-shoots and then the unfortunate tragedy led to Zack stepping away completely and Whedon taking over fully.

I for one, would actually like to see what Zack's version would've been like.

Zack's cut will be meaning more serious, dark and character develop than less joke?
*
Honestly, I'm not sure. I mean, from what we experienced in BvS, he does have that tendency.

I remember reading that Zack's intention was to make JL lighter than BvS and I suppose he did but probably not enough for WB execs? Would be nice if someone on the inside could share which shots were Whedons and which were Zack's, only then will we know for sure.

But with the clip of the deleted scenes...I mean, heck, I'm no cinematographer and not a Zack Snyder die hard fan by any means but it seems like a lot of the deleted scenes had Zack's style to them.

yea. Snyder style. Music is part of Snyder visual style.  Watchmen and Sucker Punch is good example.

i was quite disappointed with JL theme.  forgettable. WW has got that adrenaline guitar riff.  MoS theme though not iconic was recognisable.
*
I know right? I mean, not to troll or be a hater but I think Zimmer and Junkie XL's work would've suited this better. The moments where he added the 1989 Batman theme and John Williams' Superman theme were just somehow awkward and felt like an after thought.

Also did anyone not notice he managed to squeeze in the Avengers theme when they boarded the Flying Fox? I'd almost say that it was sacrilegious hahaha.

I have no particular affinity for one comic book universe over another - I enjoy Marvel's movies just as much as DC's but...to use the Avengers theme in JL? Almost like opening a Star Trek movie with the Star Wars theme.

Correct me if I'm wrong, however, I think for Justice League, it was released same time for China. I could be wrong, but I remember reading it somewhere.

I kinda want to see this happen:

Petition For Warner Bros. To Release Zack Snyder's Cut Of JUSTICE LEAGUE Nears 100,000 Signatures

https://www.comicbookmovie.com/justice_leag...natures-a155678

Not sure how these things work but I hope Zack or WB at least, grants the fans this cut of the movie. Don't know if 100,000 fans is enough to warrant something like this though; probably not, but who knows...

Don't see it happening. Maybe 20 years later like Richard Donner cut

But if the petition reaches 500k or more, maybe WB can produce two bluray releases: Extended Edition and Snyder Cut. Confirm all Zaddy zombies will buy but make them pay extra for it  brows.gif

This clip has a lot of deleted scenes and existing scenes with seemingly better VFX  ohmy.gif

Wow 20 years? In this day and age, probably enough years to warrant a couple of Supes reboots and re-casts hahaha.

Can't seem to play the clip on my office laptop, will check it out at home; thanks though!

Hmm, I wonder how this will affect the future of the DCEU. They were sharing their film slate for the next few years but apparently they will decide the direction of the DCEU depending on how well JL does at the box office and so far...leaves much to be desired unfortunately.

As far as money concern they are not much they can do about. You win some or you lose some.

DCEU will continue no matter what, either sticking with what they have atm or soft reboot like x-universe or hard reboot like Sony. It doesn't matter what route they take and they will keep making CBM. From financial standpoint they are not disaster cause out of the 5 DCEU movies so far only 1 a dud. It's not the end of the world.

More importantly they just need to make good movies and move away from the Snyderverse and show they can be more than just that. If Aquaman delivers and WW2 hit hard then I don't see they need to worry that much. Pointless to compete with marvel for the coming 2 years as Infinity Wars will just slaughter anything coming their way with 10 years hype behind it.

That's true, studios will soldier on I guess.

That is quite a lot on their plate; a bit too late to turn around now I suppose.

Aquaman - James Wan
WW2 - Patty Jenkins
Shazam - David F Sandberg
SS2 - Gavin O Connor
Batman - Matt Reeves

All very talented directors and will be under the new direction of DC Films, there's a lot of reasons to be excited for post Snyder DCEU
*
I think of all the above, I'm looking forward most to WW2 and Aquaman. Flash - have they got a director yet? I think Ezra did well with the material he was given. He's seems like quite a talented actor and can do more with a better script and screenplay.

I'm also seriously hoping they do a MOS2 or another Superman solo movie.

Only amped for Aquaman & Flash film

Wonder Woman was such Bollywood-esque film. Didnt like it

Seriously doubting Batman film given how Jake Glyenhall is rumored to be cast (extraordinary actor though) & Ben Affleck looking extremely tired/spaced-out with his performance in Justice League.

Exactly right? It's bad when it is THAT obvious.

No, Snyder out please

They need to fast track MoS 2 to fix Superman ASAP. My choice director would be Matthew Vaughn or Bryan Singer

No, flashpoint is a very bad idea at this point. They need to do flash's origin right first. My choice to direct would be Edgar Wright or Duncan Jones

A Cyborg origin film is a must if they wanna do JL 2 again. Alex Garland would be my choice
*
Just curious, would you prefer them stick with Cavill as Supes or re-cast him? That is, if they do a MOS2.

News is that he is contracted to play Superman at least one more time but it does not specify whether in a solo movie or part of an ensemble/cameo.

Yeah I hope so too.

In interviews at least, he says he wants to play the character for as long as possible; so that's got to be good news. Now just up to the studio if they still want him beyond one more film.

I read that too and was super psyched about the possibility of a Zack Snyder cut...but then I read this on comicbookmovie.com:

JUSTICE LEAGUE VFX Artist Says That A Zack Snyder Cut Of The Film Does Not Exist

https://www.comicbookmovie.com/justice_leag...t-exist-a155735

I guess we'll have to wait until we hear from Zack himself. He recently shared a BTS photo of him - presumably when he shot the Deathstroke scene with Joe Manganiello. Seems like he still has interest in the movie/universe.

Also, apparently that same VFX artist who said a Snyder cut doesn't exist, had this to say about Cavill's mustache:

At this rate, WB probably gonna cuci tangan and reboot the franchise, cos aside from WW, every DCEU film has been a major misstep

Probably better off that way, cos they didn't get the characters right the first time, now building a franchise on top of an already weak foundation is gonna make it all crumble later

Maybe WB should hire the writers from DC TV shows or games, cos they seem to get it  hmm.gif

Maybe a soft reboot could work; but honestly, I'm not sure how they'll do it...but I really don't know the source material enough to comment on a reboot.

I just hope they maintain the actors, except and unless Ben Affleck wants to leave the role..then they could recast Batman, I'm not sure Jake Gyllenhaal works though, otherwise...I think they got the cast pretty spot on.

Plus a reboot...would take years before they start on one I would think. The gap between Spiderman 3 and The Amazing Spiderman was 5 years I think? And what they did with Fantastic Four...I think the gap between Rise of the Silver Surfer and the Josh Trank reboot was a little more than 5 years.

We'll see in the next couple of months what the Execs say. I thought they were course-correcting when they brought Geoff Johns on board...but seems like it hasn't really changed anything.

Think their best bet is to replace Affleck with an unknown actor or B-list actor so they are more susceptible to multi picture deals. Furthermore those superhero physique training really demanding on a person's lifestyle.

Soft reboot can mean a lot of things...shift of direction, ignoring continuity of the past, change of main actors, etc....

WB won't do much announcement after looking JL box office on a whole and also more importantly they should react to MCU phase four announcement as oppose to jump the shark and bare minimum put up a mic drop SDCC press event.

No kidding, Ben Affleck already 45, not sure how much more he can take to get in Batman shape.
