this is my first time posting over here...so if anything tell me dun flame me k..thanks....there is a question have been going around my head for the last few week.
Since the new falcon xbox360 have come out, and the chances of 3ROD will be reduced(not entirely).

For ppl that is going to buy Xbox360
what would you prefer?

A: get a second hand Xbox360 , and make sure that previous owner was playing constanly and didn't get hit by 3ROD

or

B: Buy a new falcon xbox360 try your luck out

or

C: Buy a new Xbox360 without falcon chipset.

which one would you prefer.?


i am trying to make up wat choice would be better?

Go for B .. thats ur best choice.

A: u might be able to save few hundred bugs...but chances of 3ROD is at High Risk due to most 2nd hand 360 is NOT Falcon but older chipset...i believe most seller are selling it because they are AWARE of the same problem as u do, and doing so to get a newer Falcon chipset for themselves...and bear in mind, most 2nd hand 360 are over warranty period as well...

B: I bought the Elite earlier this month...the heat is not so significant compared to previous chipset...and with 3 years warranty, even if the 3ROD and any other faulty issues strike, warranty claim is juz step-a-way...enjoying ur game without worryin bout ur console goes AWOL is "priceless"

C: since u're buyin a new 360 anyway, why go for older chips since Falcon is widely available nowadays? u know the older chipset is "more" vulnerable to 3ROD...if its $$$ difference between them, i don't think saving 100-200 or even 300 is enough to justified u to opt for the older chipset...

B: but the elite xbox, MS have confirm that elite xbox is not in falcon chipset yet. but for elite xbox the chipset was changed slightly right? if the buying a elite would better than buying a falcon chipset? forget bout the warrenty now a day the new halo edition with the falcon chipset mostly is modded. there goes the warranty. but so far only the halo edition come with falcon chipset.

C: there are still some theory still unproof yet for the 1st version when xbox 360 was launch. Most of my fren that had xbox360 when it first came out has no problem playing 7-8 hrs everyday. i also dunno beside the falcon chip the 1st lauch xbox360 and then the other production like core system , premiun system any diffrent in the hardware ? but most my 1st lauch xbox360 didn't get 3rod...

well since they say that with the new falcon chipset, there is no chances to elimate the 3ROD. if buying extra accessories like heat sink AKA fan would help reduce the chances of 3ROD.
But still ppl manage to hit 3ROD with water cooling system....lol

I don't know why u said Elite are not available in Falcon chipet...it's not true that Elite is only available with older chips ler...most 360 now is Falcon chipset ad lor, unless its manufacturer date is before 24th August 2007...read more bout it and how to differentiate them here:

CONCLUSION, i suggest u to get any 360 with Falcon chipset!!! all the ORIGINAL 360 comes with 3 years warranty by MS ad...to be safe, visit trusted console retailer like GH at Cineleisure...

NOT all Halo Edition is modded ler bro, i think u're getting some misleading information...it's true that Halo Edition is almost 99% in Falcon chipset, but whether it's modded or not depends on the retail shop mod it anot...bear in mind NO 360 comes in "modded" OEMly...there are tons of Halo Edition unmodded out there which comes with 3 years warranty geh lor...

No point mentioning bout ur fren's 360 getting 3ROD anot now...it's YOU who are deciding whether which 360 to get...and we're NOT recommending 2nd hand older chipset b'coz of the risk of 3ROD...so far, Falcon chip is considered safe...so, based on what we know today...I'm recommending Falcon as well...whether it's Elite, Halo Edition, Premium or Arcade package it's up to u...

B buy the new falcon xbox360 and try ur luck....

If you can wait for a few more months, then go for the Jasper set. you want to try your luck, then you can go take the falcon.

jasper the upcoming chipset for the 360...for me la...we didnt know if the chipset also ok or not...may be some of it also will hit the 3rod...

Is there any significant lowered chances for falcon? i heard ppl still kena 3rod but is any hard data that falcon lower the risk?

There is no point in waiting for the Jasper. Because there will ALways be a newer chip coming in, a newer heatsink, and even maybe,heaven forbid, a new gpu... okla, maybe not that la...

The thing is, if you want to wait for the new stuff, you will always end up waiting because things change really fast and you'll miss out a lot along the way.

exactly...why wait when we want to "game" now!!! by waiting for jasper etc or whatever...we are done and completed GTA IV twice ad lor...there are no ending if consumer decided to play the "waiting" game in my opinion...there will always be newer products and technology everyday...company hired peeps to work for them to create better technology for god sake!
