Well... Northwood processor is always cool. But when i remove the casing fan(cos my room is getting hot thanks to my CPU), the temperature shoots up to 45 degree. Guess casing fan is a must for my rigs...

probably cant OC much not because of power , but probably motherboard?

my motherboard doesnt over clock well, i think

i tried previously with 2.4C , i tried 2.7C also fail prime 95 biggrin.gif
*
Definitely not the PSU problem. laugh.gif I think its my mobo. Both mobos that I have are all value series. Cant push much. sad.gif Max I've gotten is 2.88Ghz. After that cannot adi. haha

QUOTE(raymond5105 @ Sep 1 2008, 11:32 AM)
I think most S478 are survive until today is because of HT technology. Wtih HT,i think our procs are not capable to handle mutilthread well. Thanks to Intel Hyper Threading!
*
I want HT. tongue.gif If only my proc is 3Ghz with HT. Dont need to OC or anything also good adi. laugh.gif

Yea. Almost the price of High end Quad setup for now.. Omigosh!! Tech is way move too fast.. And the value of $$ changed so much. 5years back 5k just for a single core w/f HT + AGP setup and maybe with a 17' LCD. 5K for now? Quad w/f PCIE setup + 24' LCD. tongue.gif Still rmb the time where P4 were on the price of current Intel 9 series proc. 1k+! laugh.gif

Wow, that was a sick rig with good stuffs. biggrin.gif

BTW people, I had a question to ask. How to make this reply as a standalone instead of added to my previous reply. I had been playing around with the settings but yet I can't find a way to do it. Hope someone can enlighten me. notworthy.gif

Haha.. Yea! Quite true. My current setup only cost me less then 1k. sweat.gif Tech is way too fast to come out and got too fast been slashed.

@KahLooN
There is a function call "Do not combine with previous post" on the reply page if u had reply once before and wanna add another reply thread. See picture, tick it to make ur reply post is standalone rather then merge with ur previous post.
