You're selling Linksys WRT54GL ? Can you recommend me which set-up is good for a small office ? Range would be upstairs , downstairs.
Besides that , What's the differences between DD-WRT compare to Tomato ones ? I'm totally blank with all thest.
Budget wise , The cheaper the better. Thanks.

Looking for solution, please check the picture, I need to set up a link between these 2 areas, NO LOS, straight line is around 400-500m. All the buildings around the area are almost the same height(include those trees) but the roof is hard to reach so if possible dont wanna put antenna top of the roof(need to get ppl to climb up a 3-4 stories high building is extremely dangerous). Any suggestion for wat hardware I need ? Going to have Wireless-N routers at both site but not sure for antennas. Thanks.

Not recommended to use N-router for long range point to point wireless setup. The link bandwithd won't be significant and N-router need to use 2 antenna. Normal G-router (dd-wrt) with panel antenna should do the job. But, NO LOS would be difficult to setup. Might need to do on-site survey first.

I agree with what my partner azmi said on site survey would do the job . From the diagram the best way to put the antenna is on the roof. A directional antenna between those two Point A to Point B should be enough using directional antenna from A to B. We can do the assessment if you are in the Klang Valley. If you like to DIY do provide more info. We can supply the hardware.

- the location is in kepong, very near to jusco kepong
May I know what is the estimated cost ? I am afraid hiring professionals to perform the job might easily exceed my budget.
What kind of information I need to provide if I need to DIY ? I tot I can use some antenna that would a bit overkill to penetrate those building and trees in the way ?

If the building or trees that blocked the line of sight are real solid, (i mean building with lots of solid wall/metal) possibility to get good signal is low). Btw, real on site testing would be ur best option.

What is the safe output power range ? It's a brand new Linksys WRT54GL comes with 3 years warranty. I also flash the router with DD-WRT V24 SP1 for you. The one in the photo is sample of our modded hotspot setup. The safe output power range for normal GL is between 70 to 100. If you have proper cooling devices you can go more than this :-). It would be great combination if you paired this router with the HIGH GAIN Antennas.
