Looking for solution, please check the picture, I need to set up a link between these 2 areas, NO LOS, straight line is around 400-500m. All the buildings around the area are almost the same height(include those trees) but the roof is hard to reach so if possible dont wanna put antenna top of the roof(need to get ppl to climb up a 3-4 stories high building is extremely dangerous).
Any suggestion for wat hardware I need ? Going to have Wireless-N routers at both site but not sure for antennas. Thanks. |

- the location is in kepong, very near to jusco kepong
May I know what is the estimated cost ? I am afraid hiring professionals to perform the job might easily exceed my budget. What kind of information I need to provide if I need to DIY ? I tot I can use some antenna that would a bit overkill to penetrate those building and trees in the way ? This post has been edited by narf03: Sep 15 2008, 12:21 PM |

QUOTE(ikengkai @ Sep 13 2013, 11:02 AM) Hi MX510, i guess u are trying to see if im still alive after like 5 years of posting ? ya, still alive and kickingThinking to do point to point solution to share service to another house nearby, the 650mW enough to penetrate few row (around 4-5 rows) of 2 storey terrace houses, around 100-150m distant?? The antenna can put in ceilling roof, but not roof top. Any recommendation? Budget RM1k + wifi signal isnt good at penetrating walls, and steel objects, so most likely no, for 150meters, u need line of sight, and directional antenna. |

QUOTE(ikengkai @ Sep 14 2013, 02:13 PM) Ops, never notice on the posting date of this thread. why cannot and who complain ? if little also complain, then those houses in johor has 2 storey up high antenna, guess singapore complain also lo.Look like putting up high antenna on roof top is a must if to do transmit of signal from house to house. I think local council will come and kacau if neighbour complaint. Too bad, need pay 2 x Unifi subscription fee.... |
