i called them few days ago, they told me no tax or duty is chargeable.
but must get sirim approval.
sirim approval is RM100 for 3 same items.
1 year can buy maximum 9 items

means if i buy 3 Iphone from US, i only need to pay rm100...

how bout custom?

yes pay RM100, custom only need you to present them with the Sirim permit.
make sure the 3 items are the same models.
if not it will be a different price.
no tax as phone is not a taxable item.

As long as is a wireless device, You need sirim permit ( RM 100 up to 3 units) irrespective of cost of device. There is no duty/tax on mobile phones

Hey, you mentioned about 9 items for 1 year.

The cycle begins on Jan or when you apply for the approval.

Example:
If i apply for 9 now (Nov), will i be able to apply anymore in Jan?

I guess we can just declare it as Shirt den send and with your luck as it would just bypass customs and reach your doorstep if you are lucky enough?

If need untill go for AP or Sirim for just 1unit, why not just get it from Malaysia grey market? ;-)

I have an Iphone5 which has just arrived in Malaysia and currently UPS says: An import license is missing and is required for clearance by customs. I have been asked to contact sirim for AP. I want to know how much will it cost me to get sirim AP and whether i have to pay any customs duty or tax. I need help. Thanks..!
