If you pretend it's a personal belonging, then don't have to pay anything...

The problem is I prefer the iPhone to be in box cause I really enjoy the moment of unwrapping gadget box.

Last time I heard that the buyer need to provide their Social Security Number in order to be eligible to buy the iphone. Now I don't know if this is still applicable.

last time yes during the starting of the 4GB and 8GB versions
but not now as they have raised the limit of the purchases to
5 units maximum per person a day
10 units maximum lifetime

and credit card is sufficient d

If one credit card = 10 units.
Multiple credit cards = "your answer"

You can think of a lot of creative ideas to fool the customs (declare it as something else/unbox it and ship) but there is still a huge risk at the end of the day and as been said a lot of times, the customs are no fools. Your best bet is to ask someone to bring back for you instead of shipping it.

You can take a chance and ship it back but you would have to be really lucky. You can see from the forum threads that most people end up getting taxed etc. Of course, Malaysia being Malaysia, if you can somehow talk your way into giving the officer some incentive, then you can escape having to pay 300-400. The choice is yours...

This is what i done and get some info from custom.

If you willing to import IPHONE from US please buy 3 UNITS. Because 1 AP from SIRIM can allow 3 units of Iphone. AP from SIRIM i paid RM360.

Custom duty only 10% plus online transfer RM49. You can declare it lower in SIRIM so custom will not ask any amount anymore. So you just declare each only RM800 the tax will be RM80 the custom here can nego. If not mistaken the custom tax can reduce about 30% here.

I bought mine Iphone is about RM2000 complete set. I think its worth, because i had learn a lot.

It's USD399 for base line model (8GB) and 3.5 in USD currency so it's around RM1.5k.
