QUOTE(digswell @ Mar 3 2008, 01:47 PM) wan m to buy 667 ram..no way..wasting. u still can use it on d next mobo wat, not necessarily u need a 1066 ram to run a tri-core phenom. some more almost all 10 anni are capable of that (1066)... better i staby for 1066 ram for my next triple core phenom proc QUOTE(dblooi @ Mar 3 2008, 01:47 PM) wow.. that's abit extreme... mobo voltmoded for more juice? as far as i remember, ta690g offers 2.5v max, rite? |

QUOTE(casperito @ Mar 3 2008, 01:53 PM) yup, fasten ya seatbelt gentlemen... dun think phenoms can do so high in htt like intel (just that they support ddr2 1066), so i reckon d current generation of ddr2 still usable on phenoms. QUOTE(dblooi @ Mar 3 2008, 01:58 PM) That's TA770 A2+ , mobo detail is shown in the SS icic... pardon me for my ignorance... TA690G max vdimm is 2.6v wait a min, you're using TA690G also right ? i never touch any vdimm above 2.45v, that was d highest i whacked on my dcl just for a mere 1000... QUOTE(digswell @ Mar 4 2008, 04:43 PM) bro, i guess it's not becoz of asus, one thing prevent 2900xt to be overclocked is the power connector thingy. u need pure 8-pins + 6-pins connector in order for ati overdrive to work, else, u can just run it @ stock. btw, d one i'm gettin oso asus... i like their 3 years warranty only... |

QUOTE(cracksys @ Mar 5 2008, 09:24 AM) yep .. what's ur point ?? d thing is, u gotta make sure d ram is stable enuf @ d speed u gonna run it. edited : oppss ... didnt see ur post in here ================================= as i havent found solution to my newfound problem ... i'm gonna keep asking does ... high proc clock effect ram stability ?? (consider ram oledi as loose as it can be) say ya intend to run cpu clock speed at 3.0GH (10*300HTT), ram @ 1000MHz (w/ 667 divider). in order to test d stability of d ram, try to use 9*333HTT or 8*31xHTT to minimize d chance of instability caused by d chip while tryin to find out stable intended speed for ya ram. it's just like solvin an equation with 2 unknown, u can't solve it as long as there are 2 there, u must somehow eliminate one of 'em 1st. pardon me if my explanation sucks... |

CPU - 2.920Ghz (292*10) RAM - 728Mhz (div 533mhz) CPU - 3.120Ghz (312*10) RAM - 592Mhz (div 400Mhz) ==================================== @bro AMDAthlon why dont you try lower multiplier ?? for me, 10x yield best result with stock vcore (2920mhz) need all d sifus here to troubleshoot for u ledi... |

QUOTE(-pWs- @ Mar 5 2008, 12:27 PM) Hi Guys, samething here when i try to prime w/ 3.3GHz. no matter wat kinda setting & voltage it'll just fail almost instantly. for my case i guess that's d limit ledi. not so sure bout yas bro as ya board has some issues w/ d divider thingy. Need advise here. I only can go 3100MHz stable w my current hardware. When I go 3200MHz, Windows can boot flawlessly, but Orthos failed in 1 mins. FYI. Add Vcore n Vdimm wont help. Tref and MAL also loosen. Any idea?? @fuzore Yes. As sempronic said, from a forummer name kiong. -pWs- @ bro cracksys mebe weak mem controller. my chip can do 3.0GHz w/ 1.26v with ram runnin 533 divider, but at 2.8xGHZ w/ ram runnin 800 divider, it needs 1.26v to be stable. that's wat i noticed lately, but i mite be wrong as i dun have much time to play w/ my rig lately. |
