MacBook Pro fits that description nicely  15inches usally aren't that light so your choice becomes very limited.
The Sager NP8660 would be best for gamming IMHO. and its lighter (cheaper too) than the Dell XPS M1730 . Both have to be ordered, as I've yet to see a 17inch XPS lying around a Dell Outlet.

For dell, try visiting their website for alook. listing out the models here would mean nothing .

The Asus G71 is the big brother of the G50. Comes with faster processor and bigger screen(17inch) but rest of the specs are the same.

my dad needs a laptop which below rm2500 for daily usage. he needs to use CAD (eg. Autocad) for drawing and hopes to have good after sales service. so guys, do u have any suggestion?
btw, is intel x3100 enough for CAD software to run smoothly?

Hey guys, how are you all? With so much laptop going on, and so few times to spare and with a budget of approximately around RM2.5k - RM3k, I am looking for a laptop for daily usage and probaly some programming going on, will need to use it for graphic rendering as well, maybe a little bit of gaming to spare the free time, but not the heavy type.

Would love the laptop with at least 2GB of ram, Webcam of atleast 1.3Megapixel, with a medio-core VGA but still playable CS:S,  2MB of cache definitely so it's Intel, 14'1 - 15'6 inch of display, DvD Burner and the last would have to have 160GB SATA atleast
