QUOTE(LinTao @ Oct 20 2012, 04:05 AM)
i was talking about the blue bag you posted but yeah same case also with the Ari. i think that its a little too small for me, especially with the non customizable inserts. i can't fit my 60D + 17-40 with hood attached in properly. i think its similar to the Hadley Pro, they're not really made to carry DSLR gears, more towards the m43 cameras haha. sure it can fit, but i don't think it was really designed for it, just my opinion.

anyway, i came to the conclusion that no matter what kind of bag, even with some weight reducing feature, you'll still feel the weight after awhile. with the Ari even with the so-called wide strap that's supposed to distribute the weight on your whole shoulder and this that, all i had in my bag was a 60D + 17-40 and my fisheye lens, after a few hours my shoulder started to ache already.

same with the Lowepro Slingshot 200AW, Vanguard Uprise-46, Incase Ari, and even with the Domke F-2(just the bags i used). all bags are still the same just depends which type you prefer  biggrin.gif .

haha i don't think i'll ever ever visit your shop again, sorry tongue.gif. you can ask jajabinx if she remembers me, took me 3 hours to find your shop and another 2 to get back to kl  rclxub.gif . mainly cause i'm bad with roads and to get to your shop its very confusing

Haha, no worries. Next time we can meet up in PJ/KL for TT or COD or shooting or whatsoever smile.gif

The 17-40’s hood is biglah. Only larger bags like the UD60 can fit, but that will kill your shoulders in the long term. I swore off big shoulder bags coz after awhile your shoulder feels like its dying sad.gif do it long term and you get health problems

Hmm, you need to try out Fstopgear's black box or mountain series backpack. I walk around all week in events with a fully loaded 20-30kg load and don't feel it. It's the holy grail of backpacks.

Previously used a Thinktank Streetwalker hard drive in Tokyo and regretted bringing so much gear on the 3rd day itself. Had a Computrekker and the same problem as well. I used to cringe when I carried a fully loaded 20 plus kilos backpack as I began to develop back problems.

You know, the kind of "crack" when you bend a bit, even without the backpack and a sharp pain? No longer have that problem now with this new one.

Grajindo : it's on http:/Fstopgear.com/product/Millar smile.gif

Fstopgear is a well known brand for comfortable bags, meaning you can carry them around without feeling the burden of the weight, especially the backpacks. They're used in US/Europe by the same photographers who use a ThinkTankPhoto modular system to shoot weddings smile.gif

One dealer tested Fstopgear's backpacks and said only Tamrac and Fstopgear knows how to make proper backpacks smile.gif

Millar series is a bit different. Made of Korean poly spun nylon, it's meant to be a fusion of old Skool meets retro. With featherlight dividers smile.gif read more and decide for yourself lah. Any bag is better than no bag smile.gif

good side:

rm 270 that range for big volume bag with striking colour design. (other choice: can get range rm1xx but i forget what brand is that.)
got compartments, adjustable. can put around 2 lens + 1 attach on body.
can put ipad, or 15-inch laptop + DSLR together, just your shoulder will pain only.
kinda rain proof la, but then heavy rain still need cover la.
Quick-access zip is the best.

bad side:
no adjustable stripe sponge?

google some review around the youtube, it helps a lot, test yourself is better. smile.gif

Also i looked video review before and the part i love the most is quick access zip instead of wasting time opening this or that. thumbup.gif

About the bad side you mean the stripe sponge is fixed? shocking.gif

Good stuff, except quality has been dropping recently. sad.gif and with a lot of fakes and grey sets around. Some unscrupulous shops will pass of fakes as original. smile.gif you can call up Technical Photo Systems to check. Some big name shops are surprisingly selling fakes and greys yawn.gif

Anyways, buy from a trusted seller smile.gif there's a few online. Will ensure you don't have any issues for warranty, plus that your bag doesn't suddenly breaks at the wrong places and cause your expensive gears to go as well

p/s: TechGarage is an authorised Lowepro and Manfrotto retailer smile.gif just haven't had time to list out everything, hehehe.

I'm lavin it. F-Stop's new Millar Series....

user posted image

Left: F-Stop Shibata

Minimalist. Has a padded basket that can be easily removed (and used in any other bags!). Although very affordable, every single detail about the bag - from the magnetic closure down to the very stitching on the bags is made to close to perfection.

Right: F-Stop Bandon

Slightly bigger in size. Has more pockets.

What I really love about these bags is the size. It's really made for girls or guys. And also the looks of it.

I'm using a backpack as my camera bag. A small, 10L+3L backpack whereby no one will know you are carrying a camera around. Deuter Compact Air EXP 10 (You may google for more information on this bag). Besides become my camera bag, it is my day trip bag or biking bag too.. multipurpose thumbup.gif

This bag fit my Canon 40D attached with Sigma 30mm f1.4, battery grip, 580EX II, 4 camera batteries, 8 AA batteries, tripod, chargers and other accessories... I still can add in another 2 lenses(depends on size) but normally I won't as 30mm f1.4 suffice my needs. If need more lens, this bag fits too but a bit tight in 10L capacity.

I used to use sling bag and also recently sold off my Incase DSLR Sling Pack. As you guys had already mentioned that the thick and wide padded shoulder strap can't tahan for few hours, pain!! That's very true when you really fit all the things in the bag. Another thing is, hot and sweat when the bag stick to your bag all the time. sweat.gif

Please have a look on the picture below and this is without extend of 3L in capacity...
