Now can watch IMAX there, no need to go to Sunway anymore, traffic there so congested shakehead.gif
1utama sometimes got jam also, but not as bad as Sunway.

According to TGV, IMAX OU is bigger than Sunway (72-feet vs 57-feet wide).

Anyway, time to memorize these guyz~ lol

Just select normal 3D, not the IMAX 3D. Normal 3D will feature 48fps.

Watched The Hobbit in 48fps yesterday, and I love it. Some may say it's like watching soap opera. For me it's like watching a hybrid of a movie and a live action performance. And it takes 3D to another level. It feels like you're inside Bilbo house for instance, or inside the battle itself. And you get less eye fatigue, less motion blur during fast scene. And you can see clearly during battle scene, so smooth and vivid. My fiance love it too and she's normally don't like to watch 3D due to the dim picture. The movie in 3D 48fps is brighter with much higher clarity like watching 2D.

But for certain CGI scene, since everything is so clear and vivid, you can see some flaw in the special effects, but does not detract the whole experience unless you're really nit-picking. tongue.gif

Overall, I think 48fps is the future if done right. The Hobbit is one of them, maybe not 100% perfect but they nailed it. Gonna watch in 48fps again this Saturday. biggrin.gif

Man, you're making me regret choosing 2d ... sweat.gif
*
You can still watch 48fps on your 2nd viewing. laugh.gif

General consensus is to watch 2D on first viewing to enjoy the story and watch 48fps on 2nd viewing to enjoy the technology, coz for some, they will be distracted with the sudden change of higher frame rate, and can't concentrate on the story. I felt that yesterday during the first half-an-hour coz it's the first time watching a movie so smooth, so vivid, and at the same time trying to focus on the story.

- Hey, where is Evangeline Lily?  hmm.gif
*
Evangeline Lily will be in 'Desolation of Smaug'~ So, look out for her next year.

And also watch out for Peter Jackson cameo in 'Unexpected Journey'. He will appear during the introduction scene of Erebor, dressing as one of the dwarf. laugh.gif

the hobbit is going to split into 3 parts, right?

so if this is in the 2nd part, what they gonna do for the 3rd part?
*
Third part will be The Hobbit There & Back Again~ But no idea what they gonna do in the final installment. However, we don't have to wait till one year after the 2nd one coz the final one will be released on 18 July 2014, not end of 2014.

They released a photo from There & Back again. Looks familiar? tongue.gif

TGV Sunway
TGV Bukit Tinggi
TGV Tebrau City
TGV 1Utama
TGV SetiaWalk
TGV Wangsa Walk
TGV Bukit Indah
TGV Rawang

Eh? Pete loves to share his production details as always. He is always keen on talking about film-making process. I have the "King Kong Production Diaries" - 2 DVDs dedicated entirely for day-to-day production videos.

For the LOTR Trilogy, three Extended Edition DVD box set - you'd be surprised by the number of production videos (making of...), the details are astounding (favorite is when they showed exactly what happens from start to finish for a single scene - life of a raw film reel).

So it could just be you feeling that way...  tongue.gif

Planning on watching it again on HFR3D this weekend.

Love watching all those LOTR production videos, especially the part taht shows the bonding and friendship of the actors~ Really heartwarming~ biggrin.gif

Yeah that too... especially the last day of filming on "Return of the King" where everyone was really emotional.
I don't quite know the length of which the film has based its content on the books because I have never read the books. Indeed I've heard about "The Hobbit" being a children's tale... but if that's how it is then so be it. At the end of the day it is still a fantasy film, and a really good one too.

It is never LOTR epicness in terms of scale or story, because it NEVER was in the first place. Did I feel like the film was trying to be epic? No.. To me I see it as how PJ has interpreted the story and made decisions that would please any LOTR fan. If one has never seen the LOTR films, they are still in for a wonderful time but are missing on so many references of what is to transpire on an epic scale.

Anyways,

Yeah, "True courage is about not knowing when to take a life, but when to spare one"~

I remember from FOTR, when Frodo mentioned that:

48fps must buy twin seat? trying to book from Sunway
*
'48' suffix is not referring to 48fps. It's the price for twin seats - RM48.

If you're watching alone, just select - E-3DXM Nrm Incl Glass21.
