Hmm, never heard of that. Do you have a link to site that state this is the case?

I only know Vista 64-bit had driver signing enforcement.

For the Service Pack 1.....
after i installed it......
why do i still cant utilize the usage of 4G ram?
the installation is successful... no problem occurred....
then why in my system windows didn't have title that say service pack was installed like most of other ppl that pinned on this forum?

is they anything that i can do to adjust or modified or anything i forgot to configure?

hope my problem is solve...

hmmm... weird, my friend install SP1 x86 and have the Service Pack 1 tag on his system dialog box. mine on x64 also got one... hmm.gif

Did you reboot after installation of SP1? If after reboot and you still don't see the "Service Pack 1" in Computer->Properties, you might not have install it correctly.

SP1 have some knowed compatibility with RealTek Soundcard Driver. Try read the Sp1 readme sometime. There are some more issue in it. Window Update will NOT update it if knowed issue appear in your PC. Make sure your PC doesnt have those issue then baru install it manualy.

installed SP1 yesterday.

i use 4gb ram.. previous vista just show 3.5gb but when i upgrade to sp1 it can show up to 4gb

dont know why explorer.exe use so many cpu usage (up to 100%) after upgrade during startup. Start decrease to normal after 2 or 3 minutes

i never saw blu screen since i use SP1 3 months ago. only some incompability with games. and the windows explorer too. overall very stable biggrin.gif

If you are not using the RTM version of SP1, then you'll hit the expiry which cause BSOD as the pre-RTM version of SP1 expired on 30 June 2008.

got problem.. donno why suddently when each time i plug my thumb drive, windows can detect as new hardware but no usb mass storage driver load.. tried reinstall chipset driver but still cannot solve the problem..

any idea ?? this problem occur after i upgrade to sp1.. the problem also affect my huawei e220 usb maxis broadband modem

If you have a licensed copy of 32-bit DVD for Visa, call Microsoft to request a copy for 64-bit. Otherwise, get a retail pack of Vista Ultimate.

Even with the OEM copy tat comes wif lappy can request for tis?

i already doing this installation a few time..... i also try to installed the service pack after fresh installaion of my vista OS.
why do this problem occurred?

im using Z99Sseries ASUS laptop.

windows vista home premium.

why don't you get the Vista SP1 DVD? save you the hassles you may (and already) encountered when updating to SP1...
