you can always update if there's any newer driver for your system, if it isn't any, there's no need to update them, just install SP1...

i've just installed SP1 on my Vista Ultimate. phew...takes 40 minutes to install an update (i've already downloaded the offline installer earlier).
there's a weird folder created in C:\ with files related to SP1, can i delete them? (folder named 06b9282b41b3ae971f65335811a4ea) i used to have 4.6GB free space on my c drive. after install SP1, free space become 5.0GB. microsoft remove a lot of old junks? QUOTE(linkinstreet @ May 25 2008, 12:56 AM) Not really. XP is good, a lot of software can work with it. No offense. QUOTE(Dr@gon @ Jun 1 2008, 06:06 PM) Ummm maybe when you installed the game you're supposed to put the game on " Run as Administrator " ? Or right click the Icon>Properties>Compatibility>Run as Administrator ..? Not sure though, all my online games seem to work |

You know what?
My advice is to NOT intsall Vista at this time unless Service Pack 2 comes in. Vista has a lot of bugs. |

QUOTE(SilentE @ Jun 2 2008, 10:10 AM) You know what? Oi - noob, sorry to say what bugs are you mentioning? Don't claim something that you don't even know.My advice is to NOT intsall Vista at this time unless Service Pack 2 comes in. Vista has a lot of bugs. If you do not want to use Vista - then don't. Don't tell people about bugs. Bugs exists even you are not using Vista. Don't post crap just to increase your post count. Vista after service pack 1 fixes a lot of "bugs" and enchanced the system than the previous RTM release. Even without service pack 1 - the update and roll ups is enough to maintain the system stability; but of course the service pack is recommended. |

QUOTE(TechnoDude94 @ Jun 2 2008, 01:59 PM) Not really, I haven't really gotten any problems since I updated to SP1. All software we use have bugs! That says it all. There is no perfect software out there. If everything is perfect, software companies can close shop and programmers will be out of jobs as no new versions and updates will be released, since it's perfect.Agree on the bolded part. Agree, everything has bugs, I use a MacBook and agree that Mac OS X has bugs. I actually bought my new PC on the day Vista SP1 released, and didn't even realized until after i installed some required updates, Windows Update show me that SP1 is available, and I immediately download the full installer (5 language) so that I can also share the installer with friends. Have been using SP1 for Vista since then and I can say, i did not face frequent problems, save for some occassional minor issues, well... like said, no software is free from bugs. |
