QUOTE(saladin7 @ Sep 9 2008, 04:40 PM) 29 pages... it's hard for me to read all of it.. my windows update didn't show sp1 update... is it ok for me to download and install it manually? scared if it will harm the OS.. especially all my precious data you can, but the reason it does not show up means that something, usually the drivers are not SP1 certified. Try downloading the latest drivers for all your hardware that is WDDM signed and check Windows Update again

You can choose other options. Such as download first but you choose when to install.

Hi guys, I'm having trouble updating to SP1. I'm running Vista Business. When I click on install update, this follows: It will just be stuck at 0kb total, 0% complete until the error appears: Tried numerous times, but to no avail. Sometimes it doesn't even show the wording 0kb total ... but just freezes there with the green bar not moving Help please, thanks guys.

I upgraded from Vista Home Premium [OEM] to Ultimate X64 couple of months back. The retail Ultimate was not updated with SP1 and I ordered the Windows Vista Ultimate with SP1 64-bit DVD - English from Microsfot and it cost me nothing except the shipping charges.

Getting Started

|
Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone can help me install SP 1 on my Vista x64. I tried to install it using Windows Update but it keeps failing everytime. So I downloaded the standalone installer from the Microsoft website here : http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...&displaylang=enWhen it tries to install on my computer the loading bar goes halfway then this error comes up : 0x800736B3Any help would be appreciated

by rit no...
SP1 is mainly a big pack of hotfixes and patches since Vista hit the store... so any Vista machine should be able to install it...
