anyone from curtin university perth here? just curious, how do we go about connecting to the internet over there? is it free, inclusive in the rental, or do we have to pay an additional amount?

how about the connection in the university grounds itself? is it accessible by anyone?

not everyone tho.. only staffs and students of curtin uni.. i dont think CIC or canning college students has access to the wireless access points.. well that was a few years ago, not really sure about now..

its free.. all u have to do is setup ur wireless.. i'll try to get the guide book for u.. else u can just go to the library, on level 6 theres a few rooms for laptops and u can connect to the internet using the provided LAN cables..

ah here it is.. Wireless networking at Curtin

All I have is 1 15W fluoresent bulb, my notebook sucks 60W, and my fan 20W. What, you want me to live in a cave with a candle?

Its only something for the idle rich to think they're helping the world. For me, everyday is Earth hour. I don't even turn on the lights when I go to the toilet and the kitchen to get a drink.

I feel your pain. Especially when the bulk of it is at ungodly hours and you have a lecture at 8am.
