Thanks alot...im still doubt on the applications for iphone..
where i have face problems from my current phone im using (Tytn) where cooked rom's and so on..i face calls drop which mean no incoming call sometimes (unable to get me engage tone)

1)does iPhone hang in normal cases?
2)does all the problems solve? e.g. double sim contact/wifi/EDGE/iTunes/Youtube.... i did manage to read from the first page but too complicated where i haven own myself an iPhone yet..
coz i still worry the hardware failure if im the unluckly ones....

3)i would like to enquire the touch sensitivity of the iPhone..iz accurate or any mis-alignment from the screen?

4)How long u guys charge the iPhone for the first time?
5)Do i have all the function as iTouch? Where SQ is top notch as iTouch?

Thanks

actually i've successfully paired iPhone with other phones, PDAs, PC ... etc etc.. but its a totally useless exercise.

Thats because the only bluetooth profile thats supported by the iPhone is the "heatset 2.0" and "handsfree" profile.

This means:
no file transfer
no VCF card (OBEX push... )
no stereo headphones
no serial port communications
no ... just about everything else !

starting 1.1.1 until now, hanging problem is rarely happen unless there is incompatible 3rd party apps.

all functions are working fine.

for the first time, i would put it in cradle 3-4 hours longer after it says fully charge.

about touch sensitivity. i would say it's pretty accurate. but when i type the first time, it was kinda of weird without tactile touchpad. later on, you should be able to type pretty quickly.

about SQ, i wouldn't say that iphone has the best SQ. as far as my experience, it's either equal or a little bit better than ipod video. (i haven't heard Itouch SQ).

assuming that most external gps devices available in the market right now are connected via bluetooth (refer to the posts above), i would say thatyour chances are really slim. the closest thing that you can get hold is by using 3rd party apps (locateme or navizone) linked to pre-loaded google maps.

iphone by default will not store its pre-downloaded contents on the google map app. on the contrary to blackberry (which allows you can connect to an external gps devise), you merely load the map in advance as you go via the edge (or gprs) network. but provided you do not perform a hard reset on it, maps will be stored there. pda phones store their maps (for example mapking) typically inside a microsd card.

the included earphones for iphone comes with a mic which enables it to function as a handsfree set (something hard to consider as bluetooth does take up quite a big chunk of its battery life). sound quality is acceptable (on the par) and they look gorgeous superficially. a sennheiser would definitely provide a higher par of quality sound at an affordable price. i am currently using the cx300. bose, shure etc etc etc are notorious to leave a big hole in your wall (despite it made out of leather).

from my previous 'intoxicated' post above, i have found out that 1.1.3 gave me a much battery life. hence i would most certainly recommend that you upgrade your upcoming iphone albeit its obvious cons.

Well, I upgraded to 1.1.3 and get myself back to 1.1.2

At 1.1.3, u'll be missing a lot of FUN with yr fone as ya'll be having 'almost' a stock phone. I dont really recommend upgrading to 1.1.3, for now .. till there are more released of 3rd party s/w for us to have fun with tongue.gif

your battery life drains up faster if you have all your songs with 192-320kbps.

and if you always play sound using its speaker, it cracks if you didnt set the EQ to bass reducer. bass reducer works just great, but it use up your battery, again !

only turn on the bass reducer when you play musics with your speaker. you'll notice that it no longer cracks even if you slide the volume bar to the maximum point =D

try using this way for your musics, and you'll see that your battery only last for about 15 hours instead of 24 hours, as apple calculated it by using 128kbps on a default headphones mode.

--------------------------

well, other than listening to musics, i still make some internet use on it for around an hour ++ daily, and of course at my age, sms sms sms for the whole day. 15 minutes of viewing photos, no videos.

and my battery life will go down to almost red everyday.

guys i cant say that its a faulty set of battery right?

Dev team is technically better, but there's a lot of things you need to fix.

Nate true's works almost well after jailbroken, but you might have problems in the future.

In short, go dev team version and work out the rest of the bugs dev team left behind and you should be fine
