For a movie that's supposed to make one laugh...I think it's fine. Yes, loads of rip-off; not all that original ideas but the point is, if you laughed at any point throughout the movie, then the director would have achieved his objective.

And for those who didn't enjoy it one tiny bit, having you remember the scenes in the movie is also deemed a consolation prize for moviemakers.

PS: Loved the part where Ugly Betty appears~

Different kind of humor caters for different audiences. And I am with the other set of people who thought most of the jokes were lame and the worst part was that it was expected. Should have watched A Fish Called Wanda again : /

Few critics cater for the masses. Most go in with a pompous attitude expecting every movie to be Godfather or Citizen Kane which is why Michael Bay movies get slaughtered but nonetheless, earn megamoney.

true, then again if you look up sites that cater for the masses (imdb) the feedback for this movie is horribly low. still baffles me why people go watch it tho.

same here, Epic movie was just lame ; but still quite funny, love the scarface part.

I think ppl should just chillax and watch it for what it is, a parody movie ; don't take things overly serious when it comes to such movies biggrin.gif
It's crappy because they choose to do it that way, think about it tongue.gif

Just saw the first 5 minutes online. I totally get it. They put this movie out in theatres to see which part of the world can still react positively to "your momma" jokes. They then put the statistics down on a disc, to be handed to the Pentagon, for them to deem which nations hold the great percentage of minds suitable for brainwashing and black ops. Brilliant.

People who log on to imdb and rotten tomatoes, for most of it, most of the surfers there actually care to watch a good movie. Otherwise, why bother to see what the critics have to say? Having said that, most just don't bother to do a little bit of 'research' before watching with the odd old claim that they want the 'element of surprise.

welll.....y.a......

well the research part is quite normal, like people going to sweeney todd expecting a normal show.

then again if we actually do compare apples to apples, the recent parody movies aint as good as those of the old days. like robin hood and the men in tights, the austin power movies ( well they do have quite a lot of movie spoofs in there.) and those shows with leslie nielsen. they are far better then the rubbish we get today.

We get more rubbish movies these days only because movie studios know they can get away with releasing crap, people will still pay lots of money to watch it...case in point, Meet the Spartans

Funny to see people complaining about this stupid movie. Helloo...what were you expecting from this genre? Obviously its not one that you need a brain to understand, but of course you need a sense of humor to enjoy the jokes (no matter how tasteless it was).

For this movie, I recommend you buy ticket, watch the movie, laugh a few, then go back to your home and sleep. If you wanna complain on how bad the movie was, blame yourself for indulging in this kind of parody. happy.gif

To understand this movie, you need to watch all the movies that it's ripped from, US entertainment industry gossips and also all the commercials ad in US.

It meets my expectation and beyond.

I find this movie very funny and it worths the money I pay for to have a good laugh.

My only complain is that there are too many cut scenes.

My advice is if you are not regular moviegoers and have no sense of humor, don't watch.

My personal favorite is the way they march to battle LOL ...

so this is a comedy Cloverfield where the real story is not in the movie. I didn't find the Simpsons movie very funny. Later, I realised it's because I have never seen "An inconvenient truth" from which it parodies a lot.

Casual watch. Had some good laugh over their gayness

Anyway, please stay after the credits where they display the cast list. There is another 5 minutes show

it's funny how people went to watch parody movies and expecting world-class storyline / performance. LOL.

I prefer Robinhood : Men in thigh and Dracula : Dead & Loving It, but I don't want to watch this though, kinda tasteless based from the trailer.
