10 years ago Honda City 1.3 already cost RM55-60k something.

The new 1.5L CBU Honda Jazz is priced as such:

Grade V: RM 109,800.00
Grade S: RM 104,800.00

Anyone want to make an educated guess on how much the new Honda City CKD will cost here?

everything increase except salary..the car prices are increasing gen after gen..
24 years ago, my dad could get a brand new 3rd gen civic for less than 30k.. now at 8th gen it cost 120k..
if malaysia's economy dont get any better in future, i think by 11th or 12 gen, a brand new civic could probably hit 200k..

back to the topic, i think new city will be in 85-95k after seeing the CBU jazz price..

Well, i think it still not a good idea to have a RM65k spec of City. Cause if it do, then it's class will somehow have no different compare to the Vios already. Even though it may benefits lots of those who are on budget, but it will definitely influence it's level.
Just like a very high class condo cost as low as a low class apartment where every people including bad people also can buy.
Just my 2 cents..

City is considered as ordinary apartment only, comparable to Gen.2 at most.
People see it as a high class condo is because of the ridiculous tax structure

Agreed to you in term of cost price. But somehow City and Gen2 can not be compared especially in term of actual quality.

how if we compare this new city wth upcoming kia forte (spectra replacement model) which will be launch in Korea this end of August?
im sure the price will be almost same but the the Forte is same category as Civic

i would agree with you. hopefully it wont go higher than 95k. from 88k for the current model, increased to 95k is already a lot for full spec.
