BTW, this toy suffered from 24p film bugs as mentioned by CnetAsia review but it can be disabled. thumbup.gif Playback in 1080p BD is as good as Kuro Plasma...perhaps will matching the upcoming Kuro LCD which expected having the same spec. icon_idea.gif

since you told us that u paid 37LZ800 for RM4299, the best denki receipt tells us everything.

warranty card is just a piece of identity paper showing the model number, but not the price.

If one sells at the price set by manufacturers (not limiting to Panny, but also Sammy, LG, etc), one's doomed to lose business. That's the reality in Malaysia. You said you just bought the Panny LCD. Why didn't you pay the standard retail price? Why were you searching around for the best price? There are many dealers out there willing to cut the price just to close a deal with you. If you yourself is in the business, what would you do? Tell us. hmm.gif Do you know how much the market price of a ceiling fan (just an example) is? Do you know many dealers are selling the fan at their cost. Why doesn't Panasonic do anything about it? If Panasonic is strict with price control, I believe all dealers will be very happy because there's no more bargaining with customers. whistling.gif

just got the 37LX800 from iamsobloodysick aka joseph. pricing is the best that I can find for cash and collect. delivery to ampang would be another 70-80rm. very patient service at his shop in kajang. was able to compare the different display models using hdmi and antenna source. when comparing, i make sure the panasonic tvs are set to the same mode and settings such as "dynamic" mode or "standard" mode. was able to test my purchased unit at the shop for defects such as dead pixels and backlight bleeding from corners which luckily don't have. the purchase came with free panasonic S-video cable, HDMI cable and a bag for the car boot.

as for the tv, am loving every bit of it although it's still a lcd tv afterall and the black is not as black as plasma tv. in the dark, can still see that black area is a little bit glowing. this 37lx800 is definitely better than the 37lx80 for the extra rm. the sharpness is better due to i think the sub-pixel control feature. the 100 hz helps to reduce flicker. i watch mainly TV antenna and DVD sources. when watching TV antenna source (not astro), sometimes can see a bit of noise due to the up-scaling processing. not sure if other brand/model lcd tv can do better. i also connect to my laptop to watch downloaded movies and streaming video. gotta adjust the settings for PC source and it works beautifully.

in tuning the picture, i do not like choosing the "dynamic" mode which suppose to provide 10000:1 contrast ratio and activate the intelligent scene controller(ISC). sometimes the "dynamic" mode "blacks out" the dark details compared to "standard" mode or "eco" mode. "dynamic" mode however works better when watching in daytime due to the higher contrast. i like to use "eco" mode which detects the ambient light and adjusts accordingly. This is also known as the "contrast automatic tracking system (CATS)" feature and helps to avoid having to adjust the settings during different times of the day. I think this is an important feature difference when choosing between buying the PV8 and PV80 plasma tv. Rest of the sharpness, tint, etc settings, i don't really touch cos no end to it one and i find the default setting works ok so far.

In sum, joseph is a highly recommended seller and the 37lx800 is a highly recommended LCD TV for 37" size TV!! if want 42", pls go for plasma tv!!

I just checked the spec that's on Panasonic's website. For the 800H series, it has this HDMI input "YES", HDMI 1080p input "n/a"

I thought it's suppose to be FULL HD TV???

it is probably a typo in the website.

example: RM10,999 to RM9,999 as you questioned, now it becomes RM10,999 on panasonic.com.my

swivel meaning u can move the tv left and right without the stand moving lo. if non-swivel is when u move the tv left or right the stand will also move 2gether so the stand will actually bengkok abit which is not so nice looking to your setting

well, I thought I should contribute to this thread abit after buying from Joseph.

I have to say that not only he was so helpful with getting the TV in a timely manner, he was also very honest and pleasant attitude with the customers, not to mention his price also makes others look like crooks. I haven't had much of this kind here in KL, but he was exceptional. Also personally delivers them with his worker to my place.

So if anyone who needs a TV or anything electrial, talk to Joseph, I am sure you won't regret, or pay his shop a visit in Kajang, it's quite close to the Kajang KTM station, only 5 mins walk.

any ppl have experience with Philips 42 inch LCD, 100hz. i dont remember the code. if it's compare to panasonic plasma 42inch TH-42PV80H, who is at the better edge? i dont see much of philips lcd in store.. is their lcd 'OK' or not de.

Bought Lumix LX3 from you this chinese new year and really satisfied with your prompt delivery to Taman Desa. I am planning to get a 42" or 50" Plasma full HD with a home theater system. Since you got the BT 205. Is there any particular set that you can bundle up the Plasma 42" with the home theater set for a good price? That home theater set plays Blue Ray right? The rear speaker using wireless or do I have to run wire from the center console to the rear speaker?

p/s: please let me know the standalone price of BT205 and other standalone price of full HD panasonic plasma 42" or 50". Nothing bigger as my budget does not go that high, hehe. You sell panasonic products right? Selling also panasonic washing machine that handles 7.0kg?

went to ts shop this evening..
bought the panasonic th-l42s10k..
superb price.. cash n carry..
went home and installed it with wife's help.. the lcd is soooo light.. less then 25kg.. my old 32" slim fit tv is 58kg!!

played some 1080p movies on it using wdtv live..
absolutely loving the lcd.. super sharp pictures.. my kids love watching madagascar 2 even more now..

just bought LG-32LF20FR from TS. Comes with free HDMI cable (good well known brand 1). Great service from TS. Thanks a lot! Enjoying my new LCD TV, really great deal! Keep up the good job. Will surely recommend you to my friends and colleagues smile.gif

PS: BTW guys, to see the panel hours for your LG LCD TVs (not sure if it works on plasmas), press the menu button on your remote and TV for about 5 seconds, then the service menu will appear. Key in 0000 (4 zeros) for the password. Look for "UTT". Do NOT change anything in the service menu, you might damage your LCD TV. Change at your own risk. Other than viewing the UTT, just press menu to return back. That's the display unit hours to tell if its a used or brand new set. Just so you know, the unit i got is brand new (UTT shows 0). This info is for all who want to know how to see the unit's display hours.
