check out dpreview, theres even a prototype built for this sensor already. Sony says it'll be out by end of this year. 24mp CMOS FF sensor. Cool.

Just kidding... i think should be D80.
The differences should be 450D has higher image qualiy, megapixel count and live view. And as usual, the Nikon feel more 'solid' and 'reliable'.  |

I'm going to Japan in 3 days time! And from wad i see, Japan is selling the 450D/Kiss XSi for 2.6k Body only. Darn it, too expensive for me. AIH.
