24bit 44100hz or 48000hz, no point upscaling it to higher than 48000hz as the souece, whether mp3 or lossless are usually in 44.1khz [mostly] or 48khz

ahhh... so there's no point setting it higher than the source. then again, even lossless is up to the max of 48000hz, where do I get sources that's above 48000hz?

the optical cable i gave u is the one that came with the package when i bought it.obviously its some cheapo china brand one la.but whether or not u wanna get expensive one is up to u.

my colleague once borrowed that choseal optical cable for his PS3 into his Samsung HTiB. and he then bought a Phillips optical cable for around RM100 and he said he got significantly better sound from the phillips. says the choseal "makes the sound suppressed" and "that cable cannot make it, just enough to get sound only"

the coaxial cable is the Canare coaxial cable with Neutrik plugs which i DIYed

44100Hz 16bit, I just asked to test the DAC capability, can it do what it says in the specs.

No point, even you have source at 192kHz, your ear won't probably notice the difference

hey guys.. is the headamp/preamp section of the zero dac that bad?

as for headamp...i guess its quite bad...please refer here. I just do some of mod..it still bright+lack of soundstage (compare with audio-gd compass). As for preamp...i need futher test.

omg..the square signal wave is like erkk..hhaha

im thinking of doing a cmoy variant as the headamp.. not sure whether this is going to do any good though..

there isnt that much better DIY headamp kit that is available here in malaysia to replace the headamp section of the zero dac.
